In this episode of The Inspired Yogi, we sit down with spiritual strategist, author, and manifestation coach Latha Jay to discuss the actual science behind rewiring your subconscious mind. Latha breaks down her "24-7 Manifestation Method," a neuroscience-based approach that taps into the hypnagogic state—the exact moment between wakefulness and sleep. Discover how a simple pen-and-paper practice done 24 times can create new neural pathways, bypass your limiting beliefs, and shift your default thoughts to attract the life you want. He Ignored a Lump for 6 Months — Now He's Stage 4

Send us Fan Mail Jake Messier found a lump in his armpit in 2023 and waited six months to mention it — because, like most men, he didn't know guys could get breast cancer too. Today Jake lives with stage 4 metastatic breast cancer, a disease that kills men at a 30% higher rate than women — not because it's more aggressive, but because of the silence and stigma that keeps men out of doctors' offices.  Known online as "the guy with stage 4 breast cancer," Jake talks candidly about waking up from his mastectomy to find the hospital only had pink-flowered surgical binders, what it's like living between PET scans as someone currently NED (no evidence of disease), and his fight to get major organizations like Susan G. Komen to make room for male patients.  We also cover his path to yoga and meditation after a 2018 stroke, his take on alternative medicine (including a remedy his followers dubbed "evil bone water"), and the one thing he wants every man over 50 to know about checking their chest.  ⚠️ This episode includes candid discussion of cancer, mortality, and medical treatment. How Breathwork Opens The Door To Meditation | Art of Living's Andrew Keaveney

Send us Fan Mail In this episode of The Inspired Yogi, host sits down with Andrew Keaveney from The Art of Living in Boone, North Carolina. Andrew shares his journey from studying Buddhism and film at Stanford, to spending four years in India immersing himself in Sanskrit, the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, the Vedas, and the Bhagavad Gita.  They explore how ancient texts on consciousness and the mind come alive through a living teacher-student tradition, and the power of Sudarshan Kriya (Sky Breath Meditation) as a practical gateway into deep meditation.  Andrew breaks down the Yale research study he helped document — a randomized controlled trial comparing Sky Breath Meditation against mindfulness-based stress reduction, emotional intelligence training, and a control group, showing measurable gains in mindfulness, social connection, positive mood, and reduced anxiety (researchers even measured hair samples to track physiological stress markers).  The conversation also covers Art of Living's work in prisons (reaching over 800,000 people), the tradition's emphasis on welcoming people of all faiths without asking them to abandon their own beliefs, different paths of yoga, and a moving reflection on what it means to expand love beyond our closest circles to everyone around us.  A warm, insightful conversation for anyone curious about authentic yoga, meditation, Sanskrit wisdom, and practical tools for inner peace. Integrative Mental Health: Root Cause Healing That Actually Works

Send us Fan Mail In this episode of The Inspired Yogi, Shari B. Kaplan, LCSW, explores what happens when integrative mental health meets genuine root cause healing.  Drawing from over 30 years of clinical experience, Shari explains her holistic “human ecosystem” framework — an approach that looks beyond surface symptoms to address the full picture: body, brain, trauma responses, neurodivergence, energy, and environment.  Shari discusses practical tools that support real healing, including eye movements to activate the brain and release neck tension, grounding breathwork, meditation, movement, and her four-step Repair-Release-Reorganize-Rebuild process. She also shares insights on integrity as a foundation for peace, the limitations of traditional symptom-focused care, and why treating the full ecosystem leads to more lasting transformation.  Whether you’re dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, or simply seeking greater peace and alignment, this conversation offers grounded wisdom and actionable steps for deeper, more effective healing.  Connect with Shari https://www.cannectd.com  https://www.instagram.com/cannectd  https://www.facebook.com/people/Cannectd/100054525546424/?mibextid=LQQJ4d  Connect with The Inspired Yogi  Website: https://www.buzzsprout.com/2367132  Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/oneinspiredyogi/  Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/OneInspiredYogi  YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@Theinspiredyogi  Email: JimtheYogi@gmail.com  Intro/Outro music compliments of Machine Poetry @Themachinepoetry Support the show

Blue Zones Wisdom Meets Modern Life: Movement, Connection, Balance & Real Food

Send us Fan Mail In this inspiring conversation on The Inspired Yogi, Dr. Eugene Antenucci — a practicing dentist, educator, and author of multiple books on health and longevity (including the upcoming The Italian Longevity Secret) — shares how his decades of patient care evolved into a deep focus on holistic wellness.  From his Italian immigrant roots and Blue Zones research to real-world contrasts between traditional Italian lifestyles and modern Western habits, Dr. Antenucci breaks down the interconnected foundations of lasting health: nutrient-dense local foods, natural daily movement, strong social bonds and family connections, purpose, self-acceptance, and balance. He discusses why processed foods, constant screen time, and eroded community ties harm our well-being, while practices like intermittent fasting (done culturally), afternoon rests, evening strolls (passeggiata), and eating with intention support vitality at any age. Filled with practical wisdom on goal-setting, reducing device addiction, staying purposeful past “retirement age,” and honoring your body and mind, this episode is a powerful reminder that longevity stems from how we live every day — not quick fixes.
