    Episode 8: Crafting Your Journey

    Ritchie discusses important aspects of life's journey and how we can go about gaining happiness, a sense of accomplishments, how to deal with adversities, and more importantly manifesting self-evolution. The meaning of life is finding meaning in your journey and Ritchie analyzes vital components which can serve as great tips if you're experiencing difficulties with obstacles, challenges, and set backs. He talks about how you can suppress or eliminate negative self-talk and overcome doubts which can derail you from your journey or goal.  Ritchie also recognizes that we all individuals so experiencing life, embarking on our journeys, being successful, making plans, and achieving goals our approaches will be different so he highlights that some of us will have to use unconventional ways to keep momentum.     Episode 7: The Benefits of Ego Use, Compartmentalization, & Meditation

    White Dragon Sifu Chris Miranda and Rock On Ritchie goes into an elaborate discussion about the ego and how it misdirects those who are easily influenced by external forces such as Social Media, Commercials, and even family or friends. Sifu Chris actually dispels the idea of making a need into a want by discussing how the ego is a master manipulator if we don't keep our sense of self-awareness sharp. We analyze how society dictates false desires, fraudulent needs which does end up leading into dissatisfying detrimental pursuits. Also, we talk about how the ego can push someone down confusing paths that lead to emptiness, void of emotions, confused thoughts and how unconventional ideas can cause deep seed issues.    Our discussion of compartmentalization gets very interesting as we discuss how meditation works in tandem with organizing thoughts, ideas, emotions, situations, and resolving personal issues. Sifu Chris reflects on his past in regards to how he had to suppress his ego when he initially opened his 1st White Dragon School at the age of 19 and how he realized that he didn't need a fancy school to promote quality instruction.  Sifu Chris dives into his reasoning behind evolving as an instructor and what his goals really are for his students, he speaks of it as a gift.  We discuss how Martial Arts and fitness work hand and hand and how simplicity and the efficiency of physical movement is all connected to the meditative process and how one can successfully achieve a resolution or tranquility. Also, we have fun talking about how one student came in and attempted to challenge him and how his ego left him bruised physically.  More importantly Sifu Chris really explains in details his student process, how you can get involved, how his school is family, women, and group friendly.     My Traumatic Past Leading Into Panic Attacks

    Rock On Ritchie specifically reflects on his past by taking you on a journey through certain pivotal points of his childhood, adolescence, and young adulthood which were the key areas of where his panic attacks were triggered later on in his adult life. His personal experience reveals some physical, mental, and verbal abuse that he encountered from his Mothers Ex-Husband, getting jumped and bullied in grade school through junior high school by three boys, just because he was considered different and refused to follow the crowd. Ritchie fully expresses his time with a therapist, and how his therapist applauded his resolve and how he aided with analyzing traumatic memories in order to prevent panic attacks presently.   Listen to how Ritchie wonders why he's still here because of a near fatal car accident on a Texas Highway in the 1990's while he was in the Army. He talks about his 3 close teenage friends who all endured physical, sexual, mental, and verbal abuse and how they formed a comradery which helped them survive day by day. Ritchie recounts a horrible crash during a night vision convoy in the Army and how that changed him forever. He also recalls his time spent in Seoul, Korea and how visiting the DMZ made him realize how appreciative he was of residing in America. Ritchie is offering this relatable episode to help those who are experiencing panic attacks, to let them know that you're perfectly normal and there are ways to preventive ways to cope with panic attacks.     Have you ever played the victim card or know people who play the victim constantly?  Have you ever felt like you were being manipulated by a friend or family member who always had an issue? Have you been told to take the victim players side in a conflict not knowing the full truth behind a situation?  Has a victim player said that they knew that you wouldn't believe them?  Rock On Ritchie goes into depth on the Victim Mentality subject as he discusses how some friends or family members play the victim card when they're really the villain or the catalyst of every issue, situation, and/or conflict that happens. He discusses how he felt powerless, just living in limbo day by day, but his resolve was about making life happen for him. Listen, this Podcast is his form of catharsis and he is being completely forthcoming as he brings you up to speed with this past year to the present.  So he dives into his reasons for his determination to craft the best episodes for you the Power Gang. Gives you a glimpse into his family dynamic and how he protects and respects his family time as he tells you how he balances his life.     Episode 6: Bet On Your Selflessness

    Power Gang your favorite Power Squad returns after surviving the Colorado snow storm of 27 feet or more. So Sunny and Ritchie will be discussing how to be selfless and how being a giver not only benefits others but yourself as well. Of course, Sunny will talk about how she got stuck in the snow and how some great Coloradoans rescued her and her dog, Pluto.  Ritchie will talk about his wild and prolific family game night and how one game just ran off the rails, his mother in law is quite the naughty gamer. But anyway, you'll discover how even your very presence is a gift to others around you, you know your vibe, your aura, your attitude.  Surprisingly, Sunny admits that she's not a mathematician and she's Asian....see stereotypes don't really apply with these two.  So, learn how being selfless can enhance your journey, enlighten your perspective, perhaps change your mindset as far as expressing generosity, philanthropy, and just being downright nice, which is most important.    So welcome back the Power Squad as they continue to help you power up and take on life in every aspect as best as they can.  It's all about humor, heart, and humility.

    Since Colorado has been dumped on with tons of snow this weekend Ritchie spearheads this snow blizzard episode. So listen to Ritchie ramble on about the Sunday Snow day as he discuss his past week, his views on the Stimulus package, the welfare of people, his family's monthly game night, and his thoughts on the violence happening to the Elderly Asian Community.  Also, he talks about getting by in this Covid situation, the current snow condition, his dog King Oreo is his 7:30am barking alarm, and how he spaced out about daylight savings time. Ritchie recalls how he isn't an athlete, how him and his friends made money in New York neighborhood to buy sneakers, his pet peeve with referring to sneakers as tennis shoes and of course he loves to discuss gaming and entertainment. Ritchie briefly explains his reasoning behind launching The Power In You Podcast and how its cathartic to him. So, kick back relax and enjoy the auditory journey on his Sunday Snow day.
