    Hobosode 521 - Front Desk Confessions

    Here are some late night phone calls to hotel front desks, where I confess that I'm making prank calls to all of their guests, even though I'm not actually pranking their guests which I'm sure is eventually a huge relief to them. I report people for doing illegal things and I desperately try to get people to talk to Beverly and I even get up to some Pranknet style shenanigans by the end. The opening song is by Jenna Whatsherface on Fiverr. I stole the end song from Despicable Dogs and he says it's one of the many remixes of Doug Dimmadome from The Fairly Oddparents. All I know is that it makes my butt move. I tried to do calls earlier today, but the Thunderbird email client is so s****y that it broke one of the plugins that I use for prank requests and I mostly gave up for the day after messing with email settings and Googling things for hours. It turns out that leaving Gmail is nearly impossible. There's no such thing as a good email client in 2026. Maybe the ones that you have to pay a monthly subscription to are okay, but who pays for their email. I was tempted to give Protonmail a try for $4/month, but it just seems insane to pay a subscription fee for email. What happened to the days when Windows email clients were plentiful? I don't think I have it in me to become an Outlook user. And man, Thunderbird is such a huge steaming pile of poo. I think I'm stuck with Gmail forever, or until something better comes along. Any ideas?

    Today I do some number swapping, some late night metal detecting, and I talk to an entire family of psycho bitches.
