Katy Talento | From Blocking RFK Jr. to Hacking the Systems that Control our Health

In this episode of the React 19 Podcast, We ask the question “Who is Hell is Katy Talento and why should you know about her?” And the answer is “Because she is a hero and we need more like her!” Katy Talento is a Harvard-trained epidemiologist, licensed naturopathic doctor, and CEO of All Better Health. As the top health advisor at the White House Domestic Policy Council, Katy spearheaded transformative policies to end secret health care prices across the United States, end predatory medical collections practices, lower prescription drug prices, guarantee health records access and interoperability for patients and their care teams. Katy was once the “White House Priestess” who kept RFK Jr. out of the West Wing over vaccine safety concerns. Today she publicly apologizes, shares her COVID-era awakening, explains why MAHA reforms face so much resistance inside the White House, and reveals how the healthcare system’s profit-driven incentives keep costs sky-high while harming patients. She also breaks down practical ways employers and families can escape the broken insurance model, why independent doctors and cash-pay options often deliver better outcomes at a fraction of the price, and why the best healthcare strategy is simply not needing the system in the first place. This is a conversation for everyone concerned about their health, rising medical costs, and the fight for medical freedom. Renée Gentry, Esq.|The Vaccine Injury Compensation Modernization Act Explained

After years of overwhelming claim denials, limited benefits, virtually no transparency, and no meaningful opportunity for injured individuals to have their cases heard, the Countermeasures Injury Compensation Program (CICP) has left thousands of COVID-19 vaccine-injured Americans without a viable path to justice. In this episode, leading vaccine injury attorney Renée Gentry explains how the proposed Vaccine Injury Compensation Modernization Act (H.R. 9672) would move eligible COVID-19 vaccine injury claims into the Vaccine Injury Compensation Program (VICP), providing access to an actual court process, attorney representation, broader compensation for medical expenses, lost wages, and pain and suffering, as well as the opportunity to finally have their claims fairly considered. Renee also addresses who would qualify, the concerns many in the vaccine-injured community have about the legislation, the critical filing deadlines, and why supporters believe Congress must act now. Renée Gentry is a Distinguished Professorial Lecturer in Law and Director of the Vaccine Injury Litigation Clinic at George Washington University Law School. With more than 25 years of experience, she is one of the nation's leading experts in vaccine injury litigation and the Vaccine Injury Compensation Program (VICP). Introducing Renee Gentry (00:15:02) The host introduces guest Renee Gentry, a leading expert in vaccine injury litigation, to discuss the new legislation. Renee Gentry's Background and Expertise (00:17:14) Renee Gentry shares her 25 years of experience in vaccine injury law and her advocacy work on Capitol Hill. The Vaccine Injury Compensation Program (VICP) Explained (00:19:04) Gentry explains the history and purpose of the VICP, established in the 1980s for childhood vaccine injuries. How the VICP Works (00:20:46) A description of the VICP's legal process, including table injuries, compensation types, and the right to sue manufacturers. The Countermeasures Injury Compensation Program (CICP) (00:22:52) Gentry contrasts the VICP with the CICP, describing the latter as ineffective and designed to deny compensation for COVID injuries. Why COVID Vaccines Aren't in the VICP (00:30:07) Discussion on why COVID-19 vaccines were placed in the CICP and the legal obligation to move them to the VICP. How the New Legislation Helps (00:32:05) The bill allows all COVID-19 vaccine injury claims, even those previously rejected or never filed, to move to the VICP. Concerns About Non-Table Injuries (00:35:15) Addressing fears that only a limited list of injuries will be compensated, clarifying that non-table injuries can still be pursued. Comparing VICP to Civil Litigation (00:35:59) Gentry explains why the VICP offers a better chance for compensation than civil litigation due to a lower burden of proof. Addressing Criticisms of the VICP (00:39:56) Discussion of delays and other criticisms of the VICP, and how the new legislation aims to fix them. The Role of Special Masters (00:41:46) An explanation of what Special Masters are and how the new bill increases their numbers to speed up the process. Government Bias Concerns (00:45:27) Addressing the concern that the government won't rule against itself, clarifying the independent role of Special Masters in the court. Compensation and Attorney's Fees (00:47:53) Details on uncapped economic damages, life care plans, and how attorney's fees are paid separately by the program. Finding a Qualified Attorney (00:49:44) Advice on how to find an experienced attorney through the Vaccine Injury Petitioner's Bar Association (VIP Bar). Understanding Compensation Payouts (00:53:24) Clarification on how compensation for lost wages and future medical care is calculated and paid out, often through annuities. The Statute of Limitations for COVID Claims (00:58:49) Explaining the eight-year lookback period for filing claims and the urgency for passing the legislation before the window closes. Addressing the Fear of Being Left Out (01:03:18) Gentry offers reassurance to the injured, acknowledging their mistreatment and emphasizing the bill's goal to provide a fair hearing. The Ability to Sue Civilly (01:08:24) Clarification that while the VICP normally allows for civil suits, PREP Act protections will restrict this for COVID-19 cases. Managing a High Volume of Cases (01:10:42) How the court plans to handle the influx of COVID-19 cases through omnibus proceedings to expedite similar injury claims. The Process for Creating an Injury Table (01:14:08) Explaining how the Secretary of HHS can add injuries to the compensation table and how the new legislation modernizes the program. Stakeholder Support for the Bill (01:16:48) Discussion on why diverse stakeholders, including public health organizations and pharmaceutical companies, support moving COVID claims to the VICP. Call to Action (01:19:12) Encouraging listeners to contact their congressional representatives and advocate for the passage of H.R. 9672. How to Connect with Renee Gentry (01:21:41) Renee Gentry provides her contact information and mentions a "60 Minutes" segment discussing COVID-19 vaccine injuries.   If you would like to donate to help those who have suffered so greatly:https://react19.org/donate/ Every dollar goes directly to the injured!   If you are injured and need help, please check out all the resources at www.react19.org To contact React19 directly: https://react19.org/about/contact-us   Also check out the documentary “Follow the Silenced” https://followthesilenced.com/   The film reveals the heartbreaking journey of Americans who trusted the science, only to have their lives forever changed by being chosen for the first COVID vaccine trials. Dr. Aaron Kheriaty | The Moral Limits of Public Health

What happens when public health policy collides with the foundational principles of medical ethics? In this thought-provoking episode of The React19 Podcast, Ann sits down with psychiatrist, medical ethicist, and author Aaron Kheriaty to explore the ethical questions raised by the COVID-19 era and why those questions remain critically important today. Dr. Kheriaty shares his journey from directing medical ethics at UC Irvine School of Medicine to challenging COVID vaccine mandates in federal court and becoming a plaintiff in the landmark free speech case Missouri v. Biden. Together, they examine informed consent, bodily autonomy, censorship, public health policy, and the growing tension between individual rights and utilitarian approaches to healthcare. The conversation goes beyond mandates and lawsuits to address deeper philosophical questions: What does it mean to be human? What is the proper role of medicine? Can science answer every question, or has society embraced scientism in place of genuine scientific inquiry? And what are the consequences when health becomes society's highest value? Drawing from his books The New Abnormal and Making the Cut, Dr. Kheriaty offers a compelling framework for understanding the ethical, cultural, and spiritual challenges exposed during the pandemic—and why those lessons matter for the future. Kristen Trawitzki | A Harrowing Journey Through Injury and Hope

When Kristen Trawitzki's husband was finally ready to come home after a life-threatening battle with COVID, her family was told he could not be released unless Kristen and her children were vaccinated. Feeling they had no real choice, they complied—and Kristen says their lives changed almost immediately. A longtime fitness professional who had spent over two decades helping others pursue health and wellness, Kristen says she went from being exceptionally healthy and active to battling a devastating cascade of hemorrhaging, blood clots, pericarditis, tremors, seizures, paralysis, neurological dysfunction, and years of dismissal by doctors. Eventually, she was diagnosed with AAG (Autoimmune Autonomic Ganglionopathy), a rare and debilitating neurological disorder that attacks the autonomic nervous system and can affect nearly every function in the body. In this heart-wrenching episode, Kristen shares the medical trauma her family endured, the diagnoses she fought to uncover, the treatments that finally began bringing relief, and why she believes the injured must be heard, believed, and helped. Aaron Siri | Truth, Transparency, and the Path Forward

Attorney and author Aaron Siri joins us for a conversation that gets to the heart of a difficult question: what happens when people are harmed—and the system offers no clear path to accountability? We unpack the legal realities surrounding COVID-19 vaccine injury, from the sweeping protections of the PREP Act to the barriers individuals face when seeking recognition, care, or justice.  Aaron breaks down what most people don’t realize about liability shields, how these cases are being challenged, and what’s unfolding in the courts—including specific cases involving Bri Dressen, Joel Wallskog, and the work of React19. We also discuss his book, Vaccines, Amen: The Religion of Vaccines, where he explores how vaccine policy and discourse, in his view, can take on the characteristics of unquestioned belief—shaping debate and limiting scrutiny. Importantly, he also points to where he sees real hope: ongoing legal challenges, growing public awareness, and a shifting willingness to question long-standing assumptions—opening the door to greater transparency, accountability, and support for those affected. Sen. Ron Johnson | Unwavering in the Pursuit of Truth and Shedding Light in the Darkness

Senator Ron Johnson joins The React19 Podcast for a direct and unfiltered look at the aftermath of the COVID-19 response—and why, after hearing the stories firsthand, he says he could not turn his back on the vaccine injured. From the earliest public testimonies in 2021 to ongoing investigations, this conversation examines what he describes as a systemic failure—where those suffering serious injuries have been left to fend for themselves, while critical safety concerns were downplayed or dismissed. Johnson also reflects on a broader theme: how power, left unchecked, can become a corrupting force—and what that means for public trust. He details emerging evidence suggesting federal health agencies were aware of safety signals but used flawed systems that effectively masked them—raising urgent questions about oversight, transparency, and accountability. Throughout the conversation, one thing is clear—Johnson has no intention of backing down. Despite criticism and resistance, he continues to press forward, committed to pursuing answers and bringing attention to those who have been overlooked. This is a conversation about truth, accountability, and what happens when the people most affected are forced to fight to be acknowledged. Dr. Kirk Milhoan | Silenced Before It Began: Inside the Canceled ACIP Meeting

Just days before a highly anticipated ACIP meeting—one that many hoped would finally acknowledge vaccine injury and begin restoring trust in public health—it was abruptly shut down, halting a conversation many believed was long overdue. On March 16, 2026, a federal judge, Judge Brian Murphy, issued a preliminary ruling that blocked the newly appointed members of the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) from serving. The ruling cited procedural concerns with how the committee had been formed. However, the decision was met with significant criticism, with many questioning the strength of its legal reasoning and the broader implications of halting the committee’s work—particularly given its potential to disrupt ongoing public health functions and delay critical discussions. The impact was immediate. The March 18–19 ACIP meeting was canceled, bringing the committee’s work to a standstill before it could begin. For thousands of individuals living with life-altering conditions following COVID-19 vaccination, that meeting represented something rare: hope. Hope that their experiences would be recognized. Hope that science would catch up to reality. Hope that someone, finally, would listen. In this episode of The React19 Podcast, Dr. Kirk Milhoan offers an inside look at what was planned—and what was lost. At the heart of the discussion is a simple but critical principle: medicine must continuously evaluate both risk and benefit. Not just in theory—but in practice, in real time, and with full transparency. Instead, what many patients have encountered is something very different. Dismissal. Silence. And in many cases—being told their symptoms couldn’t possibly be related. But as Dr. Milhoan explains, failing to acknowledge adverse outcomes doesn’t eliminate them—it prevents progress. Without honest evaluation, there is no path to better treatments, safer interventions, or restored trust. The halted ACIP meeting was intended to begin that process. To bring forward data. To ask hard questions. To allow open scientific discussion. And perhaps most importantly—to give a voice to those who have been living this reality. The broader issue, however, extends beyond one meeting. It raises deeper questions about how decisions are made in medicine—and who they are made for. Is the goal to protect systems? Or to serve patients? Because at the center of this conversation are real people—families who have lost loved ones, individuals who have lost their health, and a growing number of Americans who no longer trust the institutions meant to protect them. Rebuilding that trust won’t come from authority. It will come from honesty. From acknowledging where mistakes were made. From allowing open debate. From putting patients—not policies—at the center of care. As Dr. Milhoan puts it: truth may take time—but it does come. And for those still waiting to be heard, that truth cannot come soon enough.
