The Zelda Cast Zelda Dungeon

Way back when the sad news that Tears of the Kingdom would not be getting any DLC, we had cooked up a few ideas for what we wanted to see in any future updates, and rather than letting those ideas go to waste, were today to talk about what we would have wanted to see if the decision to move on from Tears' Hyrule hadn't been made! From the learning the origins of the mysterious three dragons and introducing some classic goddess characters to having intricate caves holding secrets from the Sages of old, we pitch our story ideas, PLUS we detail what gameplay modes we think might have come back and which costumes from previous Zelda games we'd want to see included as outfits!
All this, PLUS some quick wrestling talk, a Thanksgiving wrapup, and Andy's epiphany about Twilight (the books, not the Zelda game!)

The premise is very simple: we make a hypothetical statement and assign a percentage on the likelihood of that statement coming true! This week, we had a twist on the concept in that we asked YOU the listener to submit your own statements, and you delivered in droves! We touch on everything from the next 3D Zelda game, potential remakes, the Zelda movie and what the direction of casting will be, what kind of capabilities the Switch 2 might have, and so much more!

After Nintendo dropped the tweet heard 'round the world ("This is Miyamoto") confirming that a live-action Legend of Zelda movie was due to enter pre-production soon, the Zelda community has been ablaze with all sorts of reactions, positive and negative, discussing what fans want from this adaptation. Filling in for Al this week is Virtual Theater's Gooey Fame, and the gang discuss a whole bevy of topics, including: our initial thoughts at the announcement; if we prefer live-action to animation; what the worst case and best case scenarios would be; if certain casting choices making the rumor mill could be credible or not; our thoughts on both the director and writer's other projects; what basic elements from the games should be included; our ideas on why this movie won't adapt one particular game; the future of the franchise, and so much more!

We're back and already looking towards the future, as this week, the gang get together and each present a couple of things that they're looking to see happen in the next 3D open world Zelda game! From some pretty obvious stuff like ditching the terminal key system found in Breath of the Wild/Tears of the Kingdom's Dungeons and bringing back some classic permanent items like the Hookshot, to more daring wants, like potentially taking the adventure out of Hyrule and not having Princess Zelda appear, everything is on the table! Trading sequences, fishing, art styles, underwater exploration, and so much more are all discussed as we start getting excited for whatever is next!
