    Radiant Grace for Today’s Body

Send a text In this first part of our Radiant Grace series, we explore what it means to practice peace in the bodies we live in right now. We share a tender conversation about trading self-critique for worship, replacing shame with gentleness, and learning to listen when our bodies speak quietly. Guided by Psalm 139 and Romans 12:1, we reflect on how design, dignity, and daily choices meet in our skin. We talk honestly about Christina’s experience with chemo, surgery, and recovery, and how those realities reshaped our rhythms and deepened our awareness that the Holy Spirit dwells in us today—not in a future, polished version of ourselves. Isaiah 42:3 helps us see God’s kindness toward our bruised places, while we consider how to honor limitations without surrendering to them. We invite you into a simple, repeatable practice: soften your shoulders, release your jaw, breathe a prayer, and say, “I’m listening.” Together, we ask what our bodies need—rest, movement, nourishment, or quiet—and respond with small acts of radiant grace. We also re-frame the mirror by naming what our bodies have done in love and service, letting gratitude renew our thinking. Anchored in Ephesians 2:10, we remember our callings are lived out through our bodies, and caring for them is part of the mission. If you’re tired of striving for a someday body, we’re choosing a kinder way to live and worship right now—and inviting you to join us. Love Soup And Honest Hearts

Send us a text We pull up chairs around a pot of “love soup,” a tired body after chemo, and the courage to admit we still wanted more—more comfort, more relief, more reassurance that we’re okay. In this episode, we get real about emotional eating, grief, and the pressure to be “fine” before our hearts and bodies are ready. We talk honestly about those “just another bite” moments, how pretending strength often fuels more craving, and the quiet ache of wanting the hard part to be over. Christina shares vulnerably about post-chemo recovery and upcoming treatments, while Heidi reflects on the vulnerability "hangover" that followed going public about food shame and the familiar freezer-raid pattern that resurfaced. We also carry the voices of the women we serve—echoes of nighttime eating, mirror shame, loneliness, and the belief that they should be further along by now. Instead of fixes and hustle, we lean into Jesus’ invitation to rest—not as self-improvement, but as letting God be God again. We name small goodness that holds us steady—sunlight breaking through fog, quiet kindness, beauty noticed on hard days—and how these moments form slow, durable change. If you’ve felt behind, burdened, or stuck in patterns you hoped to outgrow, this conversation offers language for your longing and compassion for your next step. GLP-1s, Faith, And Freedom

Send us a text In this episode, we open an honest, shame-free conversation about GLP-1 weight-loss medications like Ozempic, Wegovy, and Zepbound, and why choosing—or not choosing—medical support doesn’t have to become a test of faith. Together, we explore the real questions many believers quietly carry: Am I taking a shortcut? Does this mean I don’t trust God enough? We name the pressure, untangle medicine from morality, and remind listeners that wisdom and faith are not at odds. God is not keeping score, and health decisions don’t need to be driven by fear, comparison, or guilt. We then walk through a practical four-step discernment process: asking with open hands, examining motives honestly, inviting wise counsel, and staying grounded in Scripture. Drawing from passages like Proverbs 3:5–6, James 1:5, Romans 12:2, Galatians 5:1, and Romans 8:1, we offer guidance for both those considering GLP-1s and those already using them—emphasizing ongoing renewal of the mind and closeness with Jesus so medication remains a tool, not a replacement for spiritual growth. You’ll come away with reflection questions, helpful language for conversations with doctors and trusted leaders, and a renewed vision for health shaped by love, freedom, and wisdom. No matter your choice, the heart of change stays the same: Christ leads, shame has no authority, and God meets us as we listen. Freedom Is Choosing What Helps Your Body Heal

Send us a text What if the foods we reach for to feel better are actually adding to our pain? In this episode, we talk honestly about the pain–comfort–inflammation loop, sharing our own stories of mystery aches, stiff mornings, and the subtle clues our bodies were giving us all along. We explore overlooked signs of inflammation—like puffy faces in photos, tight rings, itchy scalps, burning skin, and that heavy stiffness that drains the desire to move. We also unpack common surprises, like how drinking something all day can still lead to dehydration, why artificial sweeteners matter, and how simple chair exercises can help when walking hurts. Along the way, we share personal experiments—taking a break from gluten, easing off diet sodas, trying dairy alternatives—and how quickly pain eased and energy began to return. Instead of rules or shame, we focus on curiosity, prayer, and gentle testing. We talk about what real freedom looks like—not eating anything anytime, but choosing what supports healing so we can show up fully for the people and purposes we love. With a faith-first lens, we offer six grace-based steps: inviting God into the process, noticing patterns without obsessing, running short single-variable experiments, prioritizing water, practicing gentle movement, and renewing the mind with truth. There’s no one-size-fits-all and no pressure to be perfect—just compassionate guidance and practical tools to help you feel better. If this resonates, press play, try one small change this week, and let us know which experiment you’re starting. Hope In the New Year

Send us a text Welcome to a new year!  We’ve learned that resolutions fueled by willpower alone don’t last, especially when it comes to food and body image. In this episode, we open a different door—one rooted in biblical hope and God’s nearness, not self-control or shame. We share an honest story of significant weight loss that left the body smaller but the fear louder, and why results without rest never lead to freedom. From there, we talk about what peaceful eating can actually look like: listening for real hunger, welcoming God to the table with gratitude, choosing satisfying portions that give energy, and stopping at “just enough.” We also name shame’s familiar voice and explore how truth, curiosity, and compassion can interrupt it so meals become moments of presence rather than pressure. We then introduce the five intentions of Spirit-led eating—a gentle framework that honors both the body’s signals and the heart’s need for grace. Instead of labeling foods as good or bad, we return to food as a gift and practice noticing, savoring, and responding. We remind you that missteps are not moral failures but invitations to draw near to God, renew the mind, and begin again without punishment. If the new year already feels heavy, hear this clearly: you are not behind, not broken, and not too late. There is a steadier hope and a way of eating marked by peace, dignity, and joy—and we invite you to walk that path with us. When Intuitive Eating Isn’t Intuitive

Send us a text What if intuitive eating feels impossible not because of a lack of willpower, but because the body is trying to stay safe? Together, we unpack how trauma, chronic stress, and shame can reshape hunger cues and turn food into a fast-acting signal of relief. We talk honestly about why “just listen to your body” can backfire when the nervous system is stuck in survival mode, making cravings feel urgent and satisfaction hard to reach. Drawing from lived experience and Scripture, we connect Isaiah 55 and Jesus as the “bread of life” in John 6 to everyday moments—right there at the fridge—where food is often asked to meet needs it was never meant to carry. At the heart of the episode is a compassionate, practical path forward. We share simple tools you can begin using today: a body-scan prayer to notice hunger and emotion without judgment, short breath prayers to help calm the nervous system, and clarifying questions that gently reveal whether you’re hungry, lonely, anxious, or overstimulated. We talk about releasing timelines, replacing self-criticism with curiosity, and practicing steadying truths like: I don’t have to fix this alone, God sees every layer of my hunger, and peace is possible. Healing isn’t instant, but it is real—and as safety grows, intuition returns, and food can become peaceful again. Walking in Freedom Before the New Year Begins

Send us a text We ask a simple but searching question: is a date on the calendar quietly running your spiritual life? Together, we talk about the common habit of waiting for January 1st—or Monday, or the “right time”—to finally change, and how that delay slowly erodes peace, fuels numbing behaviors, and keeps us distant from God. We explore the hidden costs of postponement during the holidays: overeating that dulls awareness, scrolling that steals presence, spending that numbs grief, and the pressure that crashes down when the new year arrives. Anchored in Romans 12:2, Proverbs 3:5–6, and Psalm 95, we re-frame change as daily mind renewal and trust, not a performance-driven reset. Along the way, we share honest stories of striving, fear of failure, and the relief that comes when we let go of perfectionism and return to a daily walk with God. At the heart of the episode is Look and Learn, a simple two-part rhythm for resilient growth. First, we look with God at what actually happened—without judgment—asking questions like: Was I tired? Triggered? Believing something untrue? Then we learn by naming truth we can hold onto now and considering how we might respond differently next time. This practice turns setbacks into growth points and reminds us that every moment is an invitation to begin again. We close by remembering that the gospel calls us to reliance, not resolutions, and that Philippians 1:6 assures us God Himself is faithfully carrying the process forward. If you’re tired of waiting for the perfect start, we invite you to take one surrendered step today.
