    Can we really trust the Bible—or is it merely a collection of ancient stories that has been changed over time? In this episode, Joel Settecase explains why Christians can confidently receive the Bible as the true, authoritative, and preserved word of God. You’ll learn what makes Scripture unlike every other religious book, how its 66 books present one unified message, and why archaeology and manuscript evidence support its historical reliability. Joel also addresses common objections, including: • “The Bible is just a book of fairy tales.” • “It has been corrupted through centuries of copying.” • “The books of the Bible were chosen by later church councils.” • “The Bible is no different from the Quran, the Book of Mormon, or other religious texts.” You’ll discover what the Dead Sea Scrolls reveal about the preservation of the Old Testament, how the early church recognized the books of the New Testament, and why textual variants do not undermine any essential Christian doctrine. The episode also explores the “impossibility of the contrary”: attempts to disprove Scripture must rely on logic, morality, and the orderly nature of the universe—realities that only make sense within the biblical worldview. Ultimately, defending the Bible is not merely about winning an argument. It is about pointing people to Jesus Christ. Scripture reveals that we have sinned against a holy God, but Jesus died for sinners, was buried, rose from the dead, and now offers forgiveness and eternal life to everyone who repents and believes.
