Old chestnuts.

If you loved this episode, read Barabra Kingsolver’s Prodigal Summer! Strong, nature-loving women, and solving the old chestnut mystery, are in abundance!

Never heard of him?

On a recent episode Phoebe admits she has never heard of David Lee Roth or the band Van Halen. 😳 How does one grow up in this country not having heard Van Halen?

Besides that, Phoebe and the gang have successfully added another great podcast to the “This is..”portfolio. With so much crap in the world right now it’s always refreshing to hear an episode of This is Love. It brings perspective back into focus by helping us realize that there is more to us than a pandemic and everything is racist.

Is this really love?

A recent episode about the robber who had escaped from jail and law enforcement and on the run for decades was an irreverent and disappointing piece. Not only was he on the run but committed identity fraud and other crimes whilst on the run. Why would you do a story on a man such as this was on a love podcast?

When you did the story with them, you made it sound as if these things that he did were fascinating, or funny. While I understand the piece was about he and his wife, who was quite lovely and didn't know about his past, I found your choice to do this piece very disappointing and irreverent.

I was a huge fan of both Criminal and This is Love. Over the years Phoebe, your choices in pieces have lost their luster and become rather diminished. I used to love you and your show, the last year or two I have to say it just doesn't feel good to listen anymore.
