Adoption stories

The stories of Ms. Nagle are so important for all to hear. I hope the Supreme Court rules to protect the Native children.

Phenomenal

Please listen.
It is important, inspirational, tragic, gut wrenching, and enraging… I do not have the writing ability necessary to form a coherent review that properly encapsulates all that this series is, particularly the second season.
There are only a few podcasts that are more than entertainment or information of fleeting importance. I listen to many of them and enjoy them regularly. But this one is different. This is one that matters. Right now and for as long as necessary. At least until this country makes serious and continuing reparation to all indigenous peoples who have been and continue to be treated with disrespect, disregard, and outright hatred.

Excellent reporting

I used to be a journalist specializing in the law. I did a feature article on ICWA about six years ago. This show is much better than my work. They went deep and pushed and found answers to the question I always had during my reporting, which was “why does the conservative establishment care so much?” I mean, healthy babies for white evangelicals is one answer, but it’s very niche. The big money pouring into this issue is mos def about getting greedy non-Native hands in Native resources. I can’t recommend this podcast strongly enough. And, now that I’m not a reporter anymore: Families belong together. Stop stealing children.
