In today’s episode, Annie talks with Janey Lee Grace, mom, author, presenter, and holistic living expert who once toured the world as a rock and roll singer. Among other things, Janey Lee talks about how she went from having an off switch for alcohol in her younger days to becoming a daily drinker in motherhood, how she shifted from a cycle of taking breaks from alcohol to making a lasting commitment to alcohol free living, and how medical professionals responded when she voiced concerns about her drinking.

EP: 244 - Reader Question - Do other countries have as much of a problem with alcohol as we do in the U.S.?

Do people in other countries where wine is a cultural thing have the problems with alcohol that we do here in the US? Is it just recently that our society seems to revere the wine stops, the wine clubs, the wine collectors, and if so, why is that? In today’s podcast, Annie sheds some light on the cultural differences and similarities between the US and Europe, and she shares some frightening statistics.

EP: 243 - Naked Life Story: Gayle

EP: 243 - Naked Life Story: Gayle

Last summer, Gayle from Sober Bliss interviewed Annie (EP: 201 - Sober Bliss with Gayle). In today’s episode, Annie interviews Gayle. A married mom of two sons who was raised in the northeast of England, Gayle was not exposed to alcohol until she was an adult. Currently living in Spain, Gayle attributes her progression into daily alcohol consumption to the Spanish drinking culture. She and Annie talk about the wake up call that helped shift Gayle into alcohol free living, what keeps her focused on remaining a non-drinker, and how her family dynamic has changed now that she and her husband have stopped drinking.

Open conversations

Please keep this podcast going! Your open conversations about alcohol are my daily dose of sanity in a world intimidatingly and progressively fueled by a pain-numbing poison.

nome-seattle ,

8 years without alcohol.

Finally a podcast that fits my life. I didn’t go to AA to quit, I stopped in my own way. I read every book/ article about alcohol and alcoholism and I went to therapy.

I feel like I can really relate to her journey. It’s a wonderful podcast that anyone questioning their alcohol intake should listen to.

Dafhjcd ,

Life changing podcast.

This Naked Mind came on my FB feed when I was 90 days sober and miserable. Without judgement, pain or rules Annie, Scott & Co. share their personal experiences, scientific based methodology to help me reverse my subconscious thinking process with booze.
It’s the #1 tool I recommend to anyone struggling in their relationship with alcohol. I only wish I found it sooner.
