    This Week's Magic: 7/12-7/18

We're back after a short hiatus, and we're returning during one of the most astrologically significant stretches of the decade. This episode opens with a reflection on Dr. Lisa Miller's question about whether we have a spiritual biological clock, and what that might mean for how we understand astrology as a timing mechanism for collective and personal evolution. Then we get into the astrology. The New Moon in Cancer on July 14th at 22 degrees sets the tone for everything that follows, with its Sabian Symbol of a woman awaiting a sailboat as the organizing metaphor for this entire moment. Mercury retrograde conjunct the lunation means whatever we're planting isn't new, it's something that's been circling, finally getting named. We do a full breakdown of André Barbault, his Cyclic Index, and what the Barbault Basket actually means and doesn't mean for this period. Then we walk through all eight major transits firing in ten days, from Uranus sextile Neptune on July 15th through Neptune sextile Pluto on July 25th, including the extraordinary 4 degree planetary activation connecting Jupiter, Pluto, Uranus, and Neptune across four signs simultaneously. We close with the North Node shift into Aquarius on July 27th, including a deep dive into the social media evolution from the last Aquarius nodal period through the Leo period and back again, and what this return might be asking of us collectively. Transits covered: New Moon in Cancer at 22 degrees conjunct Mercury retrograde, square Saturn (July 14), Uranus sextile Neptune (July 15), Uranus trine Pluto (July 18), Jupiter trine Neptune and Jupiter opposite Pluto (July 20), Jupiter sextile Uranus (July 21), Mercury stations direct (July 23), Neptune sextile Pluto (July 25), North Node into Aquarius, South Node into Leo (July 27). This Week's Magic: 5/17-5/23

This week three personal planets change signs, Mercury into Gemini, Mars into Taurus, Venus into Cancer, plus the Sun moves into Gemini on Wednesday. It sounds like a lot of movement and it is, but the overall invitation is actually to slow down, get grounded, and use this week as a training ground before June picks up the pace significantly. We also do a sidebar on personal planets vs outer planets and how the fast moving ones amplify whatever the slower ones already have brewing. Tuesday is the standout day of the week with Mercury trine Pluto, Mercury sextile Neptune, and Venus sextile Mars all at once, great energy for deep conversations, creative flow, and connection. Friday is a little up and down with Venus square Neptune in the morning, a surprising Sun conjunct Uranus midday, and Mercury sextile Saturn helping you find your footing. The week closes with the First Quarter Moon in Virgo, your first check in on those Taurus new moon intentions from last Saturday. How are you actually caring for yourself? Not theoretically. Actually. Transits covered: Mercury enters Gemini conjunct Uranus (Sunday), Mars enters Taurus (Sunday), Venus enters Cancer (Monday), Mercury sextile Neptune, Mercury trine Pluto, Venus sextile Mars (Tuesday), Sun enters Gemini (Wednesday), Venus square Neptune, Sun conjunct Uranus, Mercury sextile Saturn, First Quarter Moon in Virgo (Friday).
