Pastor Tim accomplishes a rarity in Christianity today . . . he teaches the Bible! Too many churches skip around in the Word to serve their own message, and as Pastor Tim says, often times it really is a message from your Pastor to themselves first and foremost. Happy to have a weekly Bible study from a real preacher who can illuminate the world of the Bible, the different options in translations and why he thinks a certain option is correct based on narrative and period, customs of the time, as well as reading all the verses around that verse to better explain that more difficult verse. Thank you Pastor Hatch!

What makes The Deep End so worthwhile is that Pastor Tim does his homework. He comes prepared to the podcast so he can go deep without being dull or esoteric. He respects us enough to give us his best effort. Too many teachers are content to lob a few spiritual clichés at you and call that teaching. I have been a Christ follower for 30 plus years and I want the meat of the Word. Put some prime rib on the plate and not the Gerber’s. This is not to puff him up, just to cheer him on and encourage him to keep up the noble effort. I might only live to be 110 and I don’t want to waste a minute listening to quotes from Christian greeting cards. Soldier on Pastor Tim!
