132: “Faith It Til Ya Make It”

After my daughter’s declaration that she doesn’t like the idea of “faking it,” and later hearing the incomparable Dr Cheryl Wood say this familiar phrase a different way, I felt a shift in my perspective and motivation. I’ve always understood the intent of “fake it til ya make it,” but much like my wise 15 year old felt reservations about this often-used expression, I too questioned if “faking it” was the way to go, when the desire is to grow. When I heard Dr Cheryl reframe it using “faith” as the driving force behind “making it,” that resonated so much more for me! I’m curious what you think about the difference in “fake” & “faith,” when it comes to intentional growth. Highlights: (01:34) Stray hairs, and the perfect amount of unhinged (04:08) The moment “faith” stopped me in my tracks (05:42) Research first, panic spiral later (07:18) Shiny objects are cute, but focus gets you where you’re going (08:16) Asking for help before you become a one-woman burnout machine (12:08) Let God handle the timeline, because ours is usually doing the most Mentioned: Don’t miss my second guest interview on the Lip Service & Lashes Podcast with my hilarious, kind, and slightly unhinged friend and fellow entrepreneur, Chelsea Husum! 131: Let Your Focus (Positively) Expand

I’m sure you’ve heard that words have power and the way we speak to ourselves is powerful too! Inspired by our podcast episode on The Angie Ambrosetti Show, Angie and I continued our conversation off camera and something she said really stuck with me. Keeping our focus positive, when navigating all our feelings about life’s challenges, will expand. Obviously the opposite is true too, but in the name of positivity, let’s go with the former. I’m here for positive expansion, so here’s a quick episode on how we can make that happen! Highlights: (01:45) When book-writing nerves invite imposter syndrome to the party (03:39) The simple reminder that what you focus on expands (04:12) Why “fake it till you make it” does not work for everyone (05:28) The phrase that might make you rethink your negative self-talk (07:26) Yes, we are talking chili cheeseburgers and intentional choices (08:42) Feel the feelings, grab the fudge pops, then keep moving forward Mentioned: My episode on The Angie Ambrosetti Podcast: Episode 42: How to Pivot When Life Falls Apart with Paige Killian Enjoying the Time To Pivot podcast? In this episode, I’m giving you the full follow-up on Pitch Day 2026, the nerves, the stress, the talks that did not quite feel aligned, and the one that absolutely did. After a week that felt like everything was happening at once, I got to show up, share my story, and remember why pivoting has become such a powerful part of my message. I’m also sharing more about the coaching work I do, from organizing your space to helping you write your book, launch your podcast, prepare your talk, and share the story God has placed on your heart. Because your gifts are not meant to sit quietly in the corner. They are meant to be shared. 128: The Blessings of “Failure”

In this episode, I’m sharing a real story from my own week, because sometimes something that looks like failure is actually God giving you redirection, a lesson, or a huge wave of relief you did not know you needed. I found myself juggling speaking opportunities, deadlines, grief, pressure, and one very energetic dog who seemed determined to make his podcast debut. I talk about what happened when I entered the Next Top Speaker competition, why it did not quite feel aligned, and how not making the top 100 became its own kind of blessing. If you have been putting pressure on yourself to make something work, this episode is your reminder that showing up still counts, setbacks do not define you, and your gifts are still meant to be shared. Highlights: (01:30) Turning that feeling of failure into finding the blessing (03:38) You know, not everyone needs to understand your calling (07:02) How the “Next Top Speaker” opportunity landed in my inbox (and why I decided to go for it) (16:42) Five talks in one week? Cute idea, wildly stressful in real life (24:43) Realizing a good opportunity might not be the right opportunity for this season (32:36) Keep showing up because that still counts Mentioned: Enjoying the Time To Pivot podcast? 127: Praying For Yourself

Whether you are a person who prays for others and forgets to pray for yourself, or you are a seasoned pro at asking God for the desires of your heart, this episode has some of my favorite verses for inspirational prayer reference. Sharing them in show notes because I’m no gatekeeper, but give this short episode a listen too to hear how I break them down for clarity and better understanding to be applied to your life. Proverbs 16:3 Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plans. Isaiah 48:17 This is what the Lord says— your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: “I am the Lord your God, who teaches you what is best for you, who directs you in the way you should go. Psalm 90:17 May the favor of the Lord our God rest on us; establish the work of our hands for us— yes, establish the work of our hands. Ephesians 3:20 Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us, to Him be the glory… I pray these verses are helpful and if so, you pass them and this episode on to others who come to mind. God bless you! Highlights: (01:49) - Why praying for everybody else but yourself is not exactly the goal (04:31) - The verse that reminded me to hand the whole plan back to God (06:01) - A reminder that God knows best (10:00) - Praying over your work, not just worrying about it (13:42) - The verse that pulled me right back into trust (19:12) - God wants you to ask for more Mentioned: Ep 124: Ask BIGGER!
