Canadian rising star Evan Rein is set to hit the small screen in a big way as Officer Don Gardner in Hulu’s highly anticipated new series Under the Bridge. Rein joins the ensemble alongside Golden Globe winner and Oscar nominee Lily Gladstone (Killers of the Flower Moon), Riley Keough (Daisy Jones & The Six), and Archie Panjabi (The Good Wife). The eight-episode series, based on the gripping book by Rebecca Godfrey, premiered on Hulu on April 17, 2024.
Set against the haunting backdrop of a tragic murder, Under the Bridge chronicles the harrowing true story of Reena Virk, a 14-year-old who vanished after attending a party. Through the lens of Godfrey (played by Keough) and local police officer Cam Bentland (Gladstone), the series delves into the investigation, unraveling shocking secrets about the young girls accused of Reena’s disappearance. Appearing in five episodes, Rein portrays Officer Don Gardner, a rookie cop determined to earn his place on the Saanich police force as the sleepy Vancouver Island town is left reeling in the wake of Reena’s savage murder.
Evan Rein’s other roles cover a broad range of characters, including the lead in the feature film Blue Hour as Lee, an anxious aspiring writer living in rural Alberta. Confounded by the news of an illness in the family and masculinity stereotypes, Lee must decide whether to stay or go. Evan’s performance in Blue Hour garnered nominations for a Leo Award and UBCP/ACTRA Award for Best Lead Performance by a Male in a Motion Picture. Blue Hour won the Audience Favourite Award at the Ottawa Canadian Film Festival and picked up a nomination for Best Screenplay at the Leos. Evan’s career has included several spots on popular series including Upload, Nancy Drew, Heartland, Valley of the Boom, Sacred Lies, Debris, and Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist.

Her essays, fiction, and poetry have been featured in several anthologies, and she is the author of two books for very young readers. The indie horror thriller ponders the question: What sucks more than being single on Valentine’s Day? Being dumped right before Valentine’s Day...and on the eve before starting a new job. Both recently singled as well, they are coping with it in wildly different ways. Bonded by heartbreak, the girls decide to get satisfying revenge on their exes while planning for the re-imagined Galentine’s Day soiree. But it quickly proves not as fun or comedic as in the movies when their exes start popping up dead shortly after they've gotten their revenge. Traci Hays is a DGA Award-nominated director. Her feature directorial debut, TANGLED, a romantic comedy based on the series by New York Times and USA Today best-selling author Emma Chase, premiered in 2022 and was named a “must-see movie to watch on Valentine’s Day” by The Hollywood Reporter.

Her dark comedy BLOOD, SWEAT, AND CHEER, starring Tammin Sursok (PRETTY LITTLE LIARS) for MarVista Entertainment, premiered on Tubi in April, 2023.

Paula Andrea Placido is best known for her role of Gina Solis, a Major Recurring Guest Star on the new Peacock show - Apples Never Fall.
Paula is a first-generation American Actor and Painter. She is of Italian, Argentine and Colombian Indigenous descent, born in Dominican Republic and raised in West Palm Beach, FL.
Paula attended art school growing up, focusing on visual and dramatic arts. After graduating and saving enough money by working at a retirement home, she moved to Los Angeles to
pursue a career in acting.
She got her start in entertainment doing commercials for Apple, AT&T, and Walmart before recurring on Showtime’s Shameless, and has guest starred on HBO Max’s Hacks and
Fox’s The Resident. She can also be seen in Star Trek: Picard, The L Word: Generation Q and Fallout.
Paula is a member of the LGBTQ+ community and when she’s not working, she’s riding her Harley on the PCH, doing outdoor activities with her Pitbull Simba and spending time with her
nieces and nephews.
