145 | The Disappearance of the Sarah Joe and the Mysterious Grave

Five friends set out on a 17-foot "unsinkable" boat in 1979, and vanished without a trace.  Despite one of the largest search efforts of its kind, no bodies, no wreckage, and no answers were ever found. It was as if the ocean had simply erased them.  Then, a decade later, the impossible happened.  Thier boat was discovered on a remote atoll in the Marshall Islands, thousands of miles from where it disappeared. Oceanographers say the drifting vessel should have arrived in just a few months, not ten years. Stranger still, reasearched had surveryed the same atoll only two years earlier and found no sign of the boat.  But the bigger mystery was a makeshift grave containting the bones of one of the missing men, raising questions that remain unanswered more than 40 years later.  How did the boat arrive after it should have? Who buried the sailor? And what really happened to the oother four men? In this episode, we unravel the chilling mystery of the Sarah Joe, one of the Pacific Ocean's more baffling disappearances.  If you enjoy true myseries, unexplained disappearances, maritime disasters, and real unsolved cases, be sure to join the podcast for more storeis where the evidence only deepens the mystery. 142| Girl Gone Running: Valerie McPherson

35 years ago, on August 5, 1991, 32 year old Val McPherson was running near her home in San Antonio Texas. The day was bright and sunny, and as her feet hit the pavement, she did something every mother has done. She smiled down her little girl in the stroller. Without warning, someone charger her, holding a knife in their hand. As Cal was savagely attacked, she hunched her shoulders over the stroller, enduring the stabbing to protect her baby girl. By sheer will, she was alive. She was able to described her attacker, but her body would give out four hours later. if you have any information about the murder of Valerie McPherson, please contact Texas Rangers at 800-346-2343 or by contacting Crime Stoppers at 800-252-8477 to remain anonymous. #texastruecrime #unsolvedmurder #coldcase The outdoors are a beautiful that can be filled with light and bliss and many different ways to bring yourself closer to those you love and yourself. 141 | Queen of the Air: Amelia Earhart

Among numerous names of women who paved the path for women’s freedom today is the name Amelia Earhart. Dedicated and deliberate, she took to the skies, not only because she wanted to, but because she also had something to prove. Just because men could do it, or did it first, didn’t mean that women couldn’t also participate and be celebrated for their accomplishments. Amelia took that to heart, setting huge goals and recognizing that some of them meant she risked not coming on. On July 2, 1937, when Amelia and Fred Noonan, her navigator, crash landed somewhere in the Pacific Ocean, it created waves that crashed along the shores, seeming to scream- you can’t have them, they are now ours.
