    The Death of Ellen Greenberg

In January 2011, 27-year-old Ellen Greenberg was found dead in her apartment by her fiancé, Sam. The door was locked from the inside with a swing bar latch, so at first glance, it seemed like a tragic suicide. But when the medical examiner discovered 20 stab wounds—yes, 20—to her chest, head, and the back of her neck, they ruled it a homicide. The police, however, disagreed. Despite the unending and unanswered questions, they stuck to their guns and called it a suicide. But what really happened to Ellen? The Murder of Chris Regan part 1

Laura Frizzo was Michigan’s Upper Peninsual’s UP’s first female police chief. One evening, just as she was heading home, a distressed woman arrived at the station, convinced her friend, Chris Regan, was missing. Chris was reliable, detail-oriented, and days away from starting his dream job in North Carolina. His sudden disappearance made no sense—unless someone wanted him gone. As Chief Frizzo began unraveling the mystery, all roads seemed to lead to a married couple, Kelly and Jason Cochran. Their house, their secrets, and even their journals hinted at something darker. But was it enough to prove what really happened to Chris? And what exactly were they hiding? Want more of us? Join our Patreon! The Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum Heist - Part 1

The Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum heist is one of the most baffling art thefts in history! In the early hours of March 18, 1990, two men dressed as cops waltzed into Boston's famous museum, tied up the guards, and made off with 13 pieces of priceless art. Decades later, the frames still hang empty, waiting for the masterpieces to return. The case has never been solved and the missing works—worth over half a billion dollars—are still out there somewhere. Sponsors: Quince Go to quince.com/creepers for free shipping and 365-day returns! The Baker Butcher

This week, Kristin and Mogab are joined by special guest and friend of the podcast, Destiny, to tell them a truly atrocious story. Throughout the 70s and 80s, young women in Alaska were vanishing without a trace. These women had fallen prey to a sinister figure who took advantage of the wild Alaskan landscape, but their stories were largely ignored until one courageous woman managed to survive and broke the silence. But would she ever be able to find anyone to believe her story? Sponsors: Quince Go to quince.com/creepers for free shipping and 365-day returns! The Hinterkaifeck Murders

In April of 1922, neighbors of the Gruber-Gabriel family stumbled upon a grizzly scene on a remote farmstead near Gröbern, Bavaria called Hinterkaifeck. They found all 6 residents - Andreas and Cäzilia Gruber, their daughter Viktoria, her children Cäzilia and Josef, and their maid Maria Baumgartner - bludgeoned to death with a farm tool. When police began their investigation they realized something incredibly eerie - the killer had remained on the property for several days after the murder, feeding the farm animals and using the kitchen, before vanishing without a trace. The investigation would lead to wild speculation about family secrets and local suspects, but the case remains unsolved, cementing it as one of Germany’s most chilling true crime mysteries.
