TRUE DETECTIVE STORIES

Volume changes are an issue. The guests are fine but the host is either turning away from the mic or leaning back and forth away from the mic. It is alternating too loud or too quiet

Maybe I’ve been spoiled by the combined indirect/ direct narrative style used by the “True Spies” podcast series, but the LONG direct narratives given by detectives in this show is a turnoff. Let us hear different voices and paces of speech to keep us more engaged. Have a professional-sounding narrator interspersed with the true detectives, and where a case had multiple detectives, have as many different people (or even actors) as possible. Not just one person talking pretty much nonstop for 45 minutes.
