Ostensibly about comic books and graphic novels, "Wait, What?" is a podcast in which two friends swap stories, theories, and jokes about all aspects of pop culture...but especially comics.
For our early episodes, our theme music is Track 18 from Nine Inch Nails' wonderful ambient album Ghosts, which Trent Reznor graciously made available under a Creative Commons BY-NC-SA license.
But for some time now, it has been an original composition by our very own Graeme McMillan: this update is overdue!

Graeme McMillan and Jeff Lester complete Operation: Drokk with this, the fortieth and latest (and final for our purposes) volume of Judge Dredd The Complete Case Files

Time for Total War as John Wagner and Henry Flint rewrite the map of MegaCity One with a megaprog that knocked our irradiated socks off! We also talk about strong work from Gordon Rennie this volume, a surprise from Alan Grant, and art from John Burns, Disraeli,
Carl Critchlow, John Burns, John Burns and John Higgins. With only one episode of Drokk left, we are going out on a staggeringly high note!

    Drokk! Episode 44

Borag Thungg, Whatnauts! Time for Drokk!!

Graeme McMillan and Jeff Lester veer a bit off track from Judge Dredd: The Complete Case Files to read volume 4 of Judge Dredd: The Restricted Case files and, in retrospect, maybe that was a mistake?

Join us as we look at stories from John Wagner, Carlos Ezquerra, Alan Grant, Henry Flint, Pat Mills, Shaky Kane, Gordon Rennie, Jim Baikie, Robbie Morrison, John Morrison, Si Spencer, Sean Longcraft, Alan Barnes, Trevor Hairsine, Jim Alexander, and many others in tales spanning three decades. Yes, the errors and terrors of completism lead us here and we may never be the same!

It is the spooky season, and part-time ghosts Graeme McMillan and Jeff Lester are here to talk about the things currently haunting us: New York Comic Con, Todd McFarlane, the career of Roy Thomas, Cross Play Love: Otaku and Punk, two comics series starring The Thing, a very dark corner of Star Wars fanfic, and of course...sheds.

The Greatest Podcast Ever!

This is the Greatest Podcast Ever and it will be missed...

zeeshan m. ,

Lovely middle aged couple chat mostly about comics.

One of them hates Alan Moore, the other has a fairer assessment. Both of them have broad and varied tastes. I’ve definitely followed them and picked up good comics over the years. There’s something for most kinds of everyone and it is one of only two great Podcasts on comics.

If this podcast had a trailer, you’d basically see a long montage of two men laughing gleefully, flirting with each other in a BBC period piece adaptation style (blah blah male cocky tone and smugness followed by oh dear blah blah pithy English insult dressed like charisma) and basically acting out a very long and unconsummated engagement. This is In the Mood for Love meets Ewan Dworkin.

Will they or won’t they perhaps steal as much as a kiss? Will the wallpaper be made of comic covers as the stars blink entranced?

The podcast is as much about the business of those who makes comics, comics themselves as it is of two men who read them and their enduring lovely friendship.

How about a crossover rap (?) battle with Silence! (The other only great podcast). As Jeff from this podcast said once, ‘they fight in a Stan lee kind of way. Where whoever lost could almost have beaten the winner but really everybody one! That kind of battle.

Unfollowed

Used to be a fun podcast with Jeff & Graeme talking comics & stuff but now with the insufferable Chloe joining in it’s become unlistenable. Sorry guys.
