Khasoha Samita

Wajibiqa is a collection of interesting thoughts around society & culture, by a curious being called Khasoha Samita. The idea is to express thoughts that will have undertones of, but will not be limited to, justice, uncertainty, mental health, art, religion, advocacy, philosophy, & gender, in the context of safety & responsibility. The word “Wajibiqa” is coined from a Swahili word “kuwajibika” which means, “to take responsibility”. So, Khasoha Samita is interested in exploring the vast spectrum of what kuwajibika would look like in this modern day & age. Pull a seat, and welcome to the table.

    Art & Therapy | Address Creatively #013

    Art is a powerful instrument for social transformation. Art is a gift that CAN bring healing to the individual with the gift, and to society as a whole. Art can therefore be a very powerful tool in therapy. If Creatives take time to sit with the art that they have created, most times it could help them SEE the things that are caught up in their subconscious. And if as a society we take time to listen, see, hear & savour art, most times it will tell us a lot about ourselves, as a people. So, how can Creatives practice how to release themselves from any and all encumbrances that make it difficult to enjoy the gift of healing that exists within?     Gender | The Identity Crisis Conundrum #012

    Ambiguity; gender ambiguity, carries within it the possibility of a crisis, the possibility of confusion. And in the same breath, fluidity by itself, as a concept, can be a valuable posture. Fluidity is an invitation to continuously evaluate what you believe, and adopt a willingness to shift swiftly if you come into the realization that your theory is wrong. So how do you balance those two? How do you learn to exist in the tension of holding these two SEEMINGLY contradicting truths at the same time?
