Episode 191: You Can See Everything spoiler free

Nathan Fielder's Elizabeth Holmes doc is a surprise hit. We both ADORE it, but we can't agree on what it is even. Slipping into the Telluride Film Festival recently as a surprise drop, Nathan Fielder and Lance Oppenheim's Elizabeth Holmes documentary "You Can See Everything" is this year's most-talked about, must-see, zeitgeisty release. In this spoiler free episode, Cupcake (Jose) and WillDaBeast (Mike) give you as spoiler-free a reaction as they can....but both have very very different takes on WHAT kind of movie this even is. Is it a documentary? A big screen version of Nathan Fielder's reality-doc comedy experiments in the spirit of "Nathan for You" and HBO's "The Rehearsal"? We open with a discussion of Holmes and the history of her company Theranos while introducing the friends and listeners to Nathan Fielder and Lance Oppenheim. And then? ROUND 1 - Mike says its the new Hoop Dreams; Cupcake says it is NOT a documentary. But what they both can agree on? It's brilliant, boundary-pushing filmmaking. If you've seen the Inventor: Out for Blood in Silicon Valley, watched the series on Holmes (Hulu's The Dropout, starring Amanda Seyfried), or read the explosive book Bad Blood, this cinematic RIDE is for you. And if you have ever seen Nathan Fielder's work or even A24's Primetime directed by Lance Oppenheim...you KNOW what kind of ride you are in for! SEE (AND HEAR) EVERYTHING! DRAW BLOOD WITH OUR NEW SPOILER FREE EPISODE. *Come back for our spoiler'd episode when we discuss every jaw dropping moment and reveal - to be released later this week. - - - - - - - - - - WE ARE WATCH SKIP PLUS! ***Original Theme music: Linus Fitness-Center (click the link in our bio for more information on LFC) FOLLOW/LIKE/SUBSCRIBE/REVIEW/LOVE Email us: WatchSkipPlus@gmail.com Be kind. 190B: SPOILER'D Other Mommy

Other Mommy spoilers ahead - the movie breakdown, the big family secret, and the hateful parenting message. Cupcake (Jose) and WillDaBeast spoil the shizz-azz out of Rob Savage's new horror movies starring Jessica Chastain, Jay Duplass, and Karen Allen. Were you fooled by the trailers thinking this was a possession or straight horror film? So were the hosts. But listen to them debate the merits of this dark fairy tale - Poltergeist riff and why the screenplay might be smarter than your average, run of the mill horror film. They also discuss whether this is really Chastain's worst performance ever. If you loved the haunted house dread of Insidious and the dark fairy tale feel of Mama and Coraline, Other Mommy is right up your alley. 190B: SPOILER'D Other Mommy

Episode 190: OTHER MOMMY spoiler free

Jessica Chastain plays a mother and um…..other mother in Rob Savage’s dark fairy tale from Blumhouse / Atomic Monster. But is it the worst horror movie of 2026? No…we are not strictly a horror movie review podcast channel, but since horror is having a year (Hellllo? Obsession and Backrooms?) the power of Blumhouse / Atomic Monster compels Cupcake (Jose) and WillDaBeast (Mike) to check out Rob Savage’s new supernatural horror - demonic Mommy - You in Danger, GRLLLL horror film, starring Jessica Chastain in a dual role, Jay Duplass, and a breakout, naturalistic performance from young actress Arabella Olivia Clark. Based on the award-winning novel by “Bird Box” author Josh Malerman entitled “Incidents Around the House” and produced by James Wan’s Atomic Monster / Blumhouse, the trailers might have telegraphed something entirely different from the what the actual movie is about and its heady, heavy family and parenting themes.  We open on Rob Savage's career thus far - first movie at 19 years old, then a breakout, screenlife horror film called “Host”, then Stephen King’s The Boogeyman - and then dive into why this movie got a D+ Cinemascore and question WHY many are saying this is Chastain’s “career worst performance”. Is this for adults or is a dark fairy tale told from the point of view of an 8 year old girl? Find out which one of us gets crushed by expectations and which host really dug it. 188B: SPOILER'D A24's Primetime

  8. Sep 29

    Episode 188: a24's PRIMETIME spoiler-free

A24's Primetime is NOT the Chris Hansen biopic you expect! Robert Pattinson, Merritt Wever, and Skyler Gisondo star in A24's Primetime, directed by documentarian Lance Oppenheim (Some Kind of Heaven, Sperm World) with Nathan Fielder and Ari Aster in the mix. If you're expecting a straightforward Chris Hansen biopic about the To Catch a Predator era, buckle up: this is "docufantasia," a heightened, satirical blend of documentary and fantasy, shot in a boxy 4:3 frame that looks like an old CRT reality show. BUT no one told Cupcake and our guest about this! We open on a discussion of the "To Catch a Predator", the advent of "Gotcha" reality news, and just WTF "docufantasia" is. Then, Cupcake and WildDaBeast, joined by returning guest Tyler from Raiders of the Podcast, give their spoiler free verdicts on what is likely to be one of the most controversial films (but NOT for what you think) with INCREDIBLE performances from Robert Pattinson (who is having quite the Anne Hathaway-esque year) and Skyler Gisondo. Pssst....one of us thinks this is "one of 2026's best films of the year".
