    15. The inner work of impact with Jayd & Chrissy: Burnout, healing & reconnecting with your purpose

This week on Wayfinding Wellness, I sat down with Jayd Alvarez and Chrissy Lampert—sustainability leaders, wellness practitioners, and co-founders of Rooted Renewal—to explore the intersection of sustainability, personal healing, purpose-driven work, and what it means to care for the people who are caring for the planet. We talk about: ✨ Why so many people are drawn to sustainability and impact work—and the emotional weight that comes with caring deeply ✨ The connection between personal wellbeing and creating meaningful change in the world ✨ Burnout, transitions, and knowing when it’s time to step away from a path that no longer feels aligned ✨ The inspiration behind Rooted Renewal and creating spaces for sustainability professionals to reconnect, rest, and rebuild community ✨ How yoga, nervous system regulation, and yogic philosophy can help us navigate uncertainty, grief, and transformation ✨ Redefining impact beyond productivity, achievement, and external measures of success One of my favorite takeaways from this conversation was the reminder that sustainable change requires sustainable humans. When we’re constantly pouring ourselves into causes we care about without taking time to reconnect with ourselves, we lose touch with the very purpose that brought us there in the first place. Whether you work in sustainability, are navigating a season of transition, or simply feel called to create a more intentional and aligned life, I think you’ll find something meaningful in this conversation. About Jayd & Chrissy Jayd Alvarez is a sustainability strategist and yoga teacher working to merge the two disciplines and help people in the climate space reconnect with the deeper purpose behind their work. She holds a Master's degree from Columbia University's Climate School and a Bachelor's in Environmental Studies. Based in Austin, TX, she advises ESG ventures and teaches grounding, breath-inspired yoga. Chrissy Lampert is a sustainability leader and guide devoted to supporting collective healing and the evolution of consciousness. She holds a Master of Science in Sustainability Management from Columbia University's Climate School, has spent the past decade advancing sustainability across the global food system, and is certified in Somatic Psychedelic Facilitation and Energy Medicine. 14. Ritual, wellness & human connection with Sierra Blake

In this episode, I am joined by Sierra Blake, therapist, researcher, and founder of St. Lucie, the first sauna serum brand to exist.  In this conversation, we dive into Sierra's fascinating journey from studying the psychological impacts of sauna and cold exposure in addiction recovery to building a company centered around ritual, presence, and the mind-body connection. We talk about why sauna culture is experiencing such a resurgence, what modern wellness often gets wrong about healing, and how practices like heat, cold, and sensory ritual can help us reconnect with ourselves in a world that constantly pulls us out of the present moment. We also get into the realities of entrepreneurship, the challenges of creating an entirely new product category, and why Sierra believes that some of the most powerful wellness practices aren't about optimization at all—they're about paying attention. Whether you're a sauna enthusiast, curious about the science of nervous system regulation, or simply interested in creating more intentional rituals in your life, I think you're going to get a lot out of this conversation. About Sierra Sierra Blake is a therapist, entrepreneur, and founder of Saint Lucie, where she explores the intersection of mental wellbeing, ritual, and modern wellness culture. With a background spanning behavioral health, addiction recovery, fundraising, and business development, her work is driven by a simple question: how do we build lives and communities that help people truly flourish? Through her speaking, writing, and entrepreneurial work, she advocates for wellbeing as both a personal practice and a collective responsibility.
