I openly share what I want you to take from my approach to self-trust, confidence, and building your own inside/out life. I also ask you to email me and let me know what you are actually receiving from the things I say, how you interpret them, and how they show up in your day to day. We explore what genuine confidence really looks like and why it has nothing to do with stereotypes or appearances. I talk about why planning matters but why taking the first step matters even more. I share why I want you to build an active lifestyle that feels like yours, not something that was forced on you or sold to you as perfect. And I remind you that guilt free choices in fitness and life are a real thing, and that they come from trusting yourself. This episode is a check in for both of us. It helps you reconnect with the deeper message behind the content you consume and helps me understand what is resonating with you. True accountability starts with being able to look yourself in the eye and take ownership of your choices. You can have support, you can have connections, and you should, but your foundation has to come from you. When you build that connection, you are better equipped to decide who gets access to you and to what level. I also dive into why most people should not have front row seats to your life. You are not responsible for their opinions and they are not entitled to your inner world. At the same time, isolating yourself is not the answer either. We are meant to have meaningful relationships, but they need to be the right ones. Being accountable to yourself helps you identify those people and build the kind of life that feels grounded, empowering, and aligned with who you are. Knowing who we are. Really knowing. I walk you through a simple identity journal prompt that helps you reconnect with yourself and start peeling back the layers of what you think you should be so you can see who you actually are. Your past can inform you but it does not define you, and your worth is not tied to what you have already accomplished. This is a reminder to come back to center as often as possible. To drop the labels that do not serve you. To slow down long enough to recognize that your life is in front of you right now. The opportunity to connect with yourself is available today, and that connection can shape every other part of your life moving forward. I walk you through the idea of having two standards, your minimums and your achievement goals, and how the minimum standards form the foundation for confidence, momentum, and long term follow through. Your minimums are not about lowering the bar or barely getting by. They are about starting where you are, building a habit of taking action, and stacking small wins that lead to bigger goals. I also talk about why building your baseline around your preferences is so important. It makes taking action enjoyable which means it becomes repeatable. Once you build that foundation, you can start pushing the achievement side of things with genuine confidence and curiosity. Those two skills will take you anywhere you want to go. We also get into the idea that consistency is a skill you train just like anything else. You decide who you want to be, you take the smallest step forward, you repeat it, and you build from there. Over time your identity, your goals, and even your future direction may shift. That is not failure. That is curiosity doing its job. If you feel stuck or overwhelmed, this is a powerful place to start. Your foundation matters. Your minimums matter. And once you build those, you can figure out anything. ADP 2,037: How The Food Industry Benefits From Your Macro Tracking

Who actually benefits the most when you choose macro tracking as your preferred eating strategy. Spoiler alert, it is not you. It is the food industry. I share my thoughts as someone who has spent years working in both fitness and marketing, crafting messaging strategies and seeing how companies target your insecurities and your desire to feel in control. I am not saying macros are bad and I am not saying you should not use them. What I am doing is giving you another way to look at what you are doing and why you are doing it, especially if you feel dependent on tracking to feel in control of your eating. We talk about packaged food marketing, how labels are built to pull you in, why so many people cling to tracking as their safety blanket, and how the lack of an exit strategy keeps you coming back. I also explain why I prefer photo journaling for most everyday people who want long term results without obsessing over numbers. This episode is not about absolutes. It is about awareness. It is about understanding how the industry benefits from your habits and how you can start to make choices that align with your long term goals, your preferences, and your inside/out lifestyle. As always I want to hear your thoughts. If you agree, disagree, or want to dig deeper, email me and let me know what came up for you during this conversation. ADP 2,036: What Or Who Offends You?

Who or what offends you? Not because I want you to tell me, but because I want you to see what those moments reveal about you. When something or someone lights you up, there is almost always a deeper reason. Maybe it bumps into an old insecurity, a former version of you, or a part of your life that you have not fully let go of yet. Offense is information. If you get offended by the same things over and over again, especially with different people, it might show you where your unspoken expectations are. We all have expectations. We try to hide them, but they still drive our feelings and reactions. When you understand your expectations, you can turn them into communication instead of resentment. You can request what you need and the other person has every right to respond with yes or no. It is also possible that offense shows you where your opinions have become part of your identity. If someone challenges that opinion, it can feel like they are challenging you. That is a heavy way to live. Everybody has different experiences, and different opinions. So if some of this sounds like you, that is okay. This is information. This is how you learn, grow, and move forward in life. You can take a step back, assess, and decide how you want to respond. You can protect yourself with a boundary if needed, and you can do all of this without trying to control anyone else. Thank you for listening and watching. I appreciate you being here. What brings you peace? Not temporary escape. Not the approval of others. Real internal calm. We continue the conversation around worth and validation, and we look at how peace shows up when you begin trusting yourself to navigate life from a calmer headspace. I talk about why so many of us feel more familiar with chaos than with peace, and how uncomfortable it can be to experience calm when it finally arrives. You might even feel guilty for wanting peace because it seems foreign. But this is part of the work. The inside/out process involves sitting with your thoughts, allowing uncomfortable feelings to exist, and untangling long held patterns that keep you in survival mode. I also share thoughts on therapy and why developing a productive working relationship with a therapist can be life changing. It is not just signing up for therapy, it is learning to open up, recognize blind spots, and work together on navigating thoughts, habits and emotions. The goal is not to remove all challenges. The goal is to trust yourself more while facing them. Some things in life will never make sense. Some circumstances will not have a satisfying explanation. Peace is not having answers to everything. Peace is knowing you can handle life even when things are unresolved. It is feeling like you belong in your own body and in your own mind. That takes consistent practice, grace and a willingness to continue the conversation with yourself. If this message connects with you, I would love to hear your thoughts. Email me anytime at daryl@yourlevelfitness.com. Thank you for listening. I appreciate you. Keep practicing calm. Keep doing the work. We are changing the way we see ourselves and how we define success, and it goes far beyond fitness. Please share this episode with anyone you think would be interested in listening to it. ADP 2,034: Most People Chase External Worth

Today we get into how this plays out in our daily lives when we start chasing external worth. We look at how early praise, fitting in, and approval from others quietly shape how we see ourselves. I share how this shows up in fitness when the process becomes another performance instead of a way to support your forever active lifestyle from the inside/out. I talk about how chasing productivity and moving nonstop can keep us from sitting with our thoughts and dealing with uncomfortable feelings. For many of us, staying busy is a way to outrun our inner dialogue. I share personal examples of how this has played out in my life and how seasons have slipped by because I was focused on what I could produce for others instead of learning how to sit with myself. You will hear why the mechanics of weight loss are not the issue for most people and why the real challenge is untangling how much value we place on being useful, productive, or impressive. I want fitness and every other part of your life to be something you do because it supports who you are, not something you use to prove your worth. By the end of this episode, you will have a clear reminder that your value should not rely on what you create or how well you perform. Worth is reinforced daily just like any skill. And the work of building it continues even when you have been on this path for years. Please share this episode with anyone you think would be interested in listening to it.
