Mabon marks the Autumn Equinox and the second harvest of the year in the Wheel of the Year. It’s a time when day and night are equal length, symbolizing balance and harmony. Referred to as the "Witches' Thanksgiving," it’s a time to give thanks for the harvest and the abundance in our lives. As the days grow shorter, we reflect on the year so far and prepare for the coming winter months. Did you know? Mabon celebrates the story of Demeter, goddess of grain, agriculture, and fertility, and her daughter Persephone. When Hades abducts Persephone and forces her to marry him in the underworld, Demeter causes the Earth to go barren. Zeus negotiates with Hades to allow Persephone to be free for half the year, so Demeter only allows abundance on Earth half the year.Even though the exact date of the equinox is September 22, we can celebrate this whole season. 345. I Know Exactly Why I Want More Money. Do You?

Join The Soul of Money Voice-Note Book Club From September 16–October 23, we’re moving from scarcity to Sufficiency and changing our relationship with Money through Nature’s wisdom. The entire experience is asynchronous in Voxer. There are no live calls, you only need 15–60 minutes a week to participate, and you don’t even have to read the book. Enrollment closes Friday, September 18. *** I know exactly why I want more money. Do you? And if you do, does it feel compelling to you? I’ve found that when Money knows where it’s going, that’s often when it comes. Money likes direction. It likes purpose. It likes to know what it’s being invited into. In this episode, I'm sharing the reason I find most compelling and True for me, and I'm helping you think through yours. We’ll explore: • My old belief that I needed a big, charitable, world-saving vision to justify wanting more money • The years I spent going to Bible college, working as a pastor, evangelizing door-to-door, tithing, volunteering, and giving everything I had to a cause I believed was the only one that truly mattered • What it means for me to now pray to a force of Love that wants Life not merely to survive, but to Flourish • Why I believe talking to the ancestors can expand our access to Intuition, God, Love, and the Wisdom already within us • What happened when I asked my ancestors how much Money they wanted me to make—and what they wanted me to do with it Now, whenever I make a plan to earn more Money, I pray blessings over it and tell it exactly where I’m going to put it. Earning more no longer feels like chasing an arbitrary number. It feels like participating in the ancient movement of Life pouring itself forward. So I want to ask you: Do you know exactly why you want more Money? Not why you’re supposed to want it. Not the answer that sounds the most generous, responsible, spiritual, or impressive. What’s the answer that brings your whole body alive? Maybe Money is waiting to hear where you’d like it to go. *** More Ways We Can Walk Together This Season: One-On-One GuidanceWild Wellness Women’s CircleInstagramFacebookFree ResourcesFree Curiosity Call

    344. Hazel in the Celtic Tree Calendar: Intuition, Wisdom & the Salmon of Knowledge

“What if we’re not actually pursuing Intuition? What if Intuition has been pursuing us all along?” In this episode, we’re exploring Hazel in the Celtic Lunar Tree Calendar, the tree of Knowledge, Wisdom, Intuition, and inspiration. We’ll follow Hazel into old Irish stories of sacred wells, 9 Hazel trees, and the Salmon of Knowledge, where wisdom isn’t something that’s chased or achieved. It’s received. We’ll also explore what that might mean for our own relationship with Intuition. Maybe our Intuition isn’t blocked. Maybe there’s just a lot of static. Maybe the signal is already broadcasting, and our work is learning how our particular receiver works. And because Hazel doesn’t only ask us to listen, we’ll explore the other half of Intuition too: trusting what we hear enough to act on it. Inside this free Discover Your Spiritual Gifts masterclass, we’ll explore your Human Design authority, the different intuitive and psychic senses, and the ways your own spiritual gifts may already be communicating with you that you’ve been overlooking. You don’t need to become intuitive. You already are. 🌾 A Harvest Invitation: The Soul of Money Voice-Note Book Club There’s a place where Wisdom, Intuition, and static noise feel especially alive for me right now: Money. We tend to approach money as another problem we need to figure out. We think we need a better budget, more income, more information, a better strategy, an expert, more discipline, more certainty. We keep looking outward for the thing that will finally make us feel safe. What if there’s Wisdom underneath all that noise that we haven’t been able to hear? I think there’s something deeply Natural about exploring our relationships with scarcity, abundance, and Sufficiency in this Harvest Season. Beginning September 16, we’ll spend six weeks with Lynne Twist’s book The Soul of Money, moving from scarcity toward sufficiency, and changing our relationship with money through the wisdom of Nature. This is a fully asynchronous book club, so there are no live calls to attend, and you don’t even have to read the book. I’ll read you all my favorite parts and send them to you in voice notes. 343. How to Give Your Inner Accountant a Promotion from Surviving to Flourishing

*** What if your Inner Accountant doesn’t need to be pushed away, silenced, or even healed? What if she just needs a promotion? In the last episode, I introduced you to my client Kiki and shared some of the story behind a coaching conversation we had about receiving money for the spiritual work she’s already been doing for years. In this episode, with Kiki’s permission, I’m sharing that full coaching call. We talk about the part of us I’ve come to affectionately call the Inner Accountant: the part who keeps track of what’s coming in, what’s going out, what could go wrong, how much we need, and whether there’ll be Enough. And we love her—she makes some really good points. We don’t want to shame her, silence her, or exile her. Her job has been to help us survive. But maybe it’s time to upgrade her job description from merely surviving to Flourishing. In this coaching conversation, we explore: • Why it can feel easier to charge for work that drains us than for the work that brings us alive • The belief that spiritual, healing, creative, nurturing, or purposeful work shouldn’t cost money • How receiving money can expand our capacity to serve • The poverty, martyrdom, and self-sacrifice stories many of us inherited through religion • Why money can feel “icky” or gross when it enters the same room as our spiritual gifts • The difference between surviving, Sufficiency, and Flourishing • Why there’s no shame in having a contingency plan • What changes when we let practicality support our spirituality instead of treating them as opposites • The possibility that we don’t need to heal every Money Story before we start living differently The living-it-out is part of the healing. Sometimes we gotta look at the numbers. Make the plan. Let someone pay us. Allow ourselves to receive before every part of us feels completely ready. And that lived experience is what changes our relationship with money. As you listen, I invite you to get curious: What job have you given your Inner Accountant? Is she only allowed to help you avoid disaster—or can she help you imagine what it might take for your Life to Flourish?Where might you be waiting to feel completely healed before you let yourself do something differently? And what would it look like to start right now? *** More Ways We Can Walk Together This Season: One-On-One GuidanceWild Wellness Women’s CircleInstagramFacebookFree ResourcesFree Curiosity Call

    342. When Money Feels Gross: Moving from Coercion & Capitalism to Reciprocity & Flow

Join The Soul of Money Voice-Note Book Club From September 16–October 23, we’re moving from scarcity to Sufficiency and changing our relationship with money through Nature's wisdom. The entire experience is asynchronous in Voxer. There are no live calls, you only need 15-60 minutes a week to participate, and you don’t even have to read the book. *** “If it's spiritual work, you should just be struggling to get by.” One of my clients, Kiki, said this to me recently when we were exploring why it felt so uncomfortable for her to start receiving Money for work she’s already been doing for years—for free. In this episode, we explore what happens when we confuse self-denial with generosity—and why rejecting the values of capitalism doesn't require us to reject Money, commerce, receiving, or exchange. Because as I told Kiki: “You're not solving capitalism by you not getting paid.” We’ll explore: why women in particular can attach virtue to self-sacrifice, especially around nurturing, mothering, spiritual, healing, creative, and caring work the differences between capitalism, coercion, and commerce why the answer to an extractive system isn't self-extraction why a one-way flow eventually starts to feel gross why spending Money can actually feel really good when we're moving our resources—and our hearts—toward what we value what changes when we recognize receiving as an essential part of reciprocity the ways we might refuse to receive resources other than Money, including Time, Care, Attention, Help, Rest, and generosity whether we've unconsciously made our inability to receive into evidence of our own Goodness Sacred Reciprocity isn't only about Money. It's about our willingness to participate in the flow. Some of us have become very, very comfortable standing on only one side of that flow—the giving side—while refusing to receive. I'm not asking you to become less generous. I'm inviting you to get curious: Where have you confused self-denial with generosity? What might Sacred Reciprocity look like instead? *** More Ways We Can Walk Together This Season: One-On-One Guidance Wild Wellness Women's Circle Instagram Facebook Free Resources Free Curiosity Call

    341. Bread, Roses, and Money as Love-in-Action

Join The Soul of Money Voice-Note Book Club From September 16–October 23, we’re moving from scarcity to Sufficiency and changing our relationship with money through Nature's wisdom. The entire experience is asynchronous in Voxer. There are no live calls, you only need about 15 minutes a week to participate, and you don’t even have to read the book. *** If Money could talk to you, what do you think it would say? Would it sound disappointed? Judgmental? Demanding? Or would it sound suspiciously like your parents, your church, or Dave Ramsey? In this episode, I’m continuing our exploration of the Money Stories we inherit and asking a different question: If the voice we’ve assigned to Money was actually learned, what happens when we actually let Money Itself speak? Inspired by Lynne Twist’s book The Soul of Money and her description of Money as “God-in-action,” I explore what it means for me to understand Money instead as Love-in-action—one of the ways we move our resources toward the people, places, work, experiences, Beauty, justice, and healing that our hearts value. We’ll explore: Money as a mirror—and also a map the history and meaning of the phrase Bread and Roses why Sufficiency is actually something inside of us, not outside of us what changes when we expand our resourcing beyond just our individual income what Nature can teach us about our need for both sustenance AND Beauty the “made-up game” of Money and the difference between questioning its rules and pretending its consequences aren’t real what it might sound like for Love to tell us the Truth about our Money without using shame I also share a Love Letter one of my clients, Kristin, wrote to herself from Money after a week of exploring her relationship with debt, freedom, minimalism, Beauty, pleasure, and her desire for both Bread AND Roses. Her letter contains one of my favorite expressions of Sufficiency: “We can work with that!” Here is what I have. Here is what WE have. Here is what is HERE. Now what can Love create with it? *** More Ways We Can Walk Together This Season: One-On-One GuidanceWild Wellness Women's CircleInstagram FacebookFree ResourcesFree Curiosity Call

    340. Money Stories: Why I Believed God Couldn't Trust Me With Money & How You Got Your Money Beliefs

JOIN THE SOUL OF MONEY VOICE-NOTE BOOK CLUB From September 16–October 23, we’re moving from scarcity to Sufficiency and changing our relationship with money through Nature's wisdom. You do NOT have to read to participate. No live calls, no homework, and no falling behind. *** What did you believe about money before you realized you had other options? In this episode, I’m sharing my own Money Story—and some of the experiences that shaped it long before I realized I was creating one. My dad’s gambling addiction and my parents’ divorce took my family from upper middle class to below the poverty line when I was around 12–13 years old. At the same time, I was growing up in a conservative, fundamentalist, high-control church where I absorbed complicated messages about money and faith. Somewhere along the way, those stories became tangled together. I came to believe that having money was the opposite of having faith—and that maybe God didn’t give me money because He knew I couldn’t be trusted with it. Nobody ever explicitly taught me that. But that’s the thing about our Money Stories: we don’t only inherit what people tell us. We make meaning from what happens to us. In this episode, we explore: • How childhood, family, religion, culture, and painful experiences shape our relationship with money• The difference between blame and recognizing how we co-created our own stories• Why a Money Story doesn't feel like a story and simply feels like reality• Becoming curious about our beliefs instead of immediately trying to “fix” them• Why I no longer believe healing means arriving at a final, perfected relationship with money• My movement from Scarcity → Abundance → Sufficiency• What the book The Soul of Money helped me understand about money as God in action• Jesus’ teaching, “Where your treasure is, there your heart will be also”—and what might happen when we intentionally move our treasure• What it might mean to create a more shame-free, Natural relationship with Money More Ways We Can Walk Together This Season: One-On-One GuidanceWild Wellness Women's CircleInstagram FacebookFree ResourcesFree Curiosity Call

    339. What Is Enough? Nature's Wisdom on Money, Scarcity, Abundance & Sufficiency

What is enough? Enough money. Enough food. Enough time. Enough work and rest. Enough security for the future—and enough pleasure in the now. We talk a lot about scarcity and abundance, but in this episode, I’m exploring a third possibility: Sufficiency. Not “technically enough to survive.” Not settling or convincing ourselves we shouldn’t want more. But enough to flourish in this Season of our Lives. As we move toward Autumn and Harvest Season, I’m looking to Nature and our ancestors for a different way of relating to resources. The Harvest wasn’t the same every year. Nature didn’t demand maximum output in every Season. There were times to receive, produce, gather, distribute, release—and rest. What might happen if we let Nature teach us something about our relationship with money, too? I’m also sharing about one of the most transformative books I’ve ever read, Lynne Twist’s The Soul of Money, and inviting you into my new fully asynchronous Voice-Note Book Club: The Soul of Money, happening September 16–October 23. And no—you don’t even have to read the book. ❤️ Each week, I’ll share one of my favorite excerpts in a private Voxer group, along with a voice-note and questions to explore together. You can participate for as little as 15 minutes a week, share deeply, quietly listen, journal on your own, read the entire book, or never open it. You cannot get behind. Everything is invitation, not obligation. Because I don’t want to invite you into a conversation about Sufficiency while creating another place in your Life where you feel like you’re not doing enough. Registration is $222, with an interest-free four-month payment option, and you’ll receive immediate lifetime access to additional resources, including my Healing Your Money Story self-reflection inventory. We begin September 16. Join us here:https://jess-reid.cohere.live/money And until then, carry this question with you: What would “enough” actually feel like in your Life right now? Not the smallest amount you could survive on. Not the largest amount you can imagine receiving. Enough. For this Season.
