Episode 44 - Tips on Visiting Bordeaux, France with Laura Jallier of Van du Vin (Season 9 Episode 2) In Season 9 we are detouring from Australia and heading to France.  Bordeaux is famous for its red wine blends, primarily of Cabernet Sauvignon (right bank dominant) and Merlot (left bank dominant). Laura Jallier now owns tour company Van du Vin, visiting the Canberra Wine District.  Laura has a French husband and lived in Bordeaux for 5 years and she tells us about the wines, and shares lots where to visit tips including: * the Pessac wine region, and their Cabonnieux wines. Pape Clement is a beautiful cellar door, close to the city (20 mins drive of Bus #4). * how to get the keys to the 12th Century Monolithic church in the charming (and famous) town of St Emillion. * See the history of wine (plus a great family friendly spot) at Cite du Vin and a great bar to try local wine in town is Le Bar a Vin.  Plus a lot more!    For all the information discussed on all the episodes go to www.winederlust.au This podcast has been produced and hosted by Jeanene Kennedy of Winederlust.
