The host went on and on about how economic statistics show that purchasing power is way better than it used to be, and income has outpaced inflation, so people may feel the economy is bad - but they’re just wrong. This is completely inaccurate and I’m shocked you don’t fact check these things. If you look at a graph of the basic expenses needed to function in the world (including rent / property taxes) vs income, the percentage of average income needed just to stay afloat and not be homeless gets higher and higher and higher. Rent is especially atrocious, and its real price has just gotten worse since like the 70s at least. But y’all never acknowledge that truth. That economic fact. Instead you peddle Democratic lies about the economy being great and imply voters are just too stupid to realize they have it good - and I say that as a far leftist who used to vote Democratic every year. It’s bizarre, and makes me really wonder how biased by partisanship you are when you consistently lie about the economy. I really don’t trust Playbook now; I feel like I need to independently fact check you on everything, and in that case, I might as well not listen at all.
