Is God Even Listening?? How To Praise Your Way Through Every Battle and Valley

Have you ever felt like your prayers are bouncing off the ceiling? Like you’re crying out to God, but heaven feels silent? I’ve been there — in those seasons where it feels barren, heavy, and like nothing’s moving. But friend, here’s what I’ve learned: God is never silent. He’s speaking — even when we can’t hear it clearly. And sometimes, the greatest act of faith you can make is to praise your way through the valley. 🎵 “Sing, O barren woman…” That verse has always hit me. It doesn’t say, “Sing after you get your breakthrough.” It says, “Sing in the barrenness.” In other words, worship right where you are — even when nothing looks like it’s working. Your song in the middle of the battle does something powerful. It shifts the atmosphere. It reminds your heart that God is faithful, even when life feels hard. Praise isn’t about denying the struggle — it’s about declaring God’s goodness in spite of it. 🔥 Worship Is Warfare I’ve learned that praise is one of the most powerful weapons we have. When we worship, we’re not just singing songs — we’re shifting spiritual realities. So many of us talk about our problems instead of speaking to them. The Bible says to speak to the mountain. Don’t just describe how tall it is — tell it to move. Speak life into your situation. When we open our mouths in worship, fear has to flee. Confusion lifts. Peace returns. And we begin to remember that the same God who showed up before… will show up again. 🌱 Keep Praising, Even in the Waiting Sometimes we think breakthrough means the end of pain — but breakthrough starts when we choose to praise in the middle of it. If you’re walking through a hard season right now, I just want to remind you: God sees you. He hears you. He’s working behind the scenes, even when it doesn’t feel like it. So lift your eyes. Lift your voice. Praise your way through every valley. Because praise doesn’t just move God — it changes you. 🎧 Hit play and listen now to be reminded that even in silence, even in struggle, God is near. He’s faithful. And your praise is paving the way for your breakthrough. Episode Minute By Minute: 00:00 – Is God even listening? Finding faith in silence03:25 – “Sing, O barren woman”: Why praise comes before breakthrough07:50 – Worship as warfare: Praise that shifts the atmosphere12:15 – Speak to the mountain, not about it16:40 – How to stay anchored when God feels far19:55 – Final encouragement: God hears you — keep singingBe intentional, stay focused, and remember you are more!

Emotions Are Not Your Friend: Why Winners Keep Showing Up and Quitters Never Win

Do you ever start something with fire and excitement — a new business, a fitness plan, a book, a podcast — only to lose steam a few weeks in? You’re not alone. Most people hit that wall, and when they do, they let emotions take the wheel. They quit. And yet, here’s the truth: quitters never win, and winners never quit. In this episode, we’re tackling one of the biggest reasons people fail to follow through — their feelings. We’ll talk about why emotions are often the enemy of progress, how to push past them, and the daily habits and mindsets that will keep you showing up long after motivation fades. 🎯 Why Most People Quit (And How to Stop the Cycle) Every January, millions of people start something new. A health journey. A business. A financial goal. And every February, most of them have stopped. The reason isn’t lack of talent, intelligence, or opportunity — it’s that they let their feelings dictate their actions. Emotions are powerful, but they’re also inconsistent. One day you feel inspired; the next, tired and unmotivated. If you only show up when you feel like it, you’ll never build momentum. The winners of the world don’t have fewer negative emotions — they’ve just learned how to bench them. 🔒 Guard Your Dreams (And Your Energy) Another trap many people fall into? Announcing their plans too soon. When we tell everyone about our new goals, we get a quick dopamine hit — but we also leak energy. Every time we talk about the dream instead of doing the work, we make it easier to quit. Instead, keep some goals to yourself. Protect them until they’re strong enough to stand. And when those inevitable days come when your feelings say, “Not today,” choose discipline over emotion. 🧗‍♂️ Hitting the Wall Is Part of the Journey Everyone who’s ever accomplished anything significant has faced moments when quitting felt easier. From world-class leaders to everyday entrepreneurs, every success story is full of chapters where the emotions screamed “Stop!” and they kept going anyway. It’s in those moments — when you’re exhausted, discouraged, or convinced you’re failing — that greatness is forged. As Amy says, hitting the wall is what separates the “ain’ts” from the greats. It’s normal, and it’s part of the process. 🔥 Focus on the Mission, Not the Mood The key to pushing past your feelings is to anchor yourself to a bigger mission. Why are you doing this? Who is counting on you to succeed? What future version of you will thank you for not quitting? When you have a clear why, it’s easier to override temporary emotions with long-term purpose. That’s what keeps you moving when the motivation is gone, the feedback is silent, and the results aren’t visible yet. ✅ Keep Showing Up — One Step at a Time Here’s the truth: momentum doesn’t come from one massive leap. It’s built one small action at a time — one decision to show up, one workout, one email, one step. And each small action shifts how you feel. Action changes emotion. It creates energy. And when you keep showing up — even on the hard days — you eventually cross the line that most people never reach. 💡 Final Thought: Your feelings aren’t always your friends, but discipline, purpose, and consistency will never betray you. Keep showing up. Push past the wall. Don’t let temporary emotions sabotage a future that’s waiting for you on the other side of perseverance. Episode Minute By Minute: 00:00 – Why emotions can’t lead the way03:12 – Motivation fades, discipline stays07:45 – Showing up when it’s hard12:10 – Turning consistency into momentum16:35 – Winners keep going, quitters never win19:45 – Final encouragement to keep showing upBe intentional, stay focused, and remember you are more!

Faith Over Fear: How to Take Authority Over Your Thoughts and Win the Battle Within

What would your life look like if fear didn’t have a say? If the loudest voice in your mind was faith — not doubt, not anxiety, not what ifs — but the steady confidence that God is who He says He is and will do what He’s promised? In this episode of You Are More, Amy dives into one of the most important battles we face: the fight between faith and fear. Every decision, every dream, every step forward comes down to which one we choose to feed. And the good news is, you get to choose. 🧠 The Battle Starts in Your Mind The enemy’s favorite battleground is not the world around you — it’s the space between your ears. Fear often shows up disguised as wisdom or logic, convincing you to play small and stay safe. But when we let those thoughts run unchecked, they shape how we live. Amy shares how to identify when fear is taking over the narrative and how to start replacing those thoughts with God’s truth. Taking every thought captive and making it obedient to Christ isn’t just a nice verse — it’s a daily discipline that leads to peace, clarity, and strength. 🙌 How to Flip the Narrative The Bible calls us to renew our minds, and that begins with replacing fear-based thinking with faith-based declarations. When you catch yourself spiraling into doubt or “what if,” pause and speak God’s promises over your situation. Amy gives practical tools you can use right now: Speak Scripture out loud to shift your perspective.Focus on God’s character and past faithfulness.Replace fearful language with bold, faith-filled declarations. Each time you do, you’re building a new mental muscle — one that will carry you through the next challenge with confidence. 🌱 Small Steps That Build Big Faith Faith isn’t built overnight — it’s built one small step at a time. Amy reminds us that progress often looks ordinary: sending an email, starting a conversation, writing the first page of that book. But those small acts create momentum, and momentum builds belief. Even when you don’t feel ready, keep showing up. Keep taking the next step. And watch how God meets you in motion. 🌟 You Were Created for More At the heart of this message is one powerful truth: you were made for impact. God placed unique gifts and purpose inside you, and fear is the only thing standing in the way. When you start living from a place of faith, you stop shrinking back and start stepping into everything He’s prepared for you. It’s time to silence the lies, take authority over your thoughts, and walk boldly into the future with unshakable confidence. 🎧 Final Thoughts Fear will always whisper what if, but faith will always declare God can. One keeps you stuck. The other propels you forward. This episode comes from a heavy place in my heart. When I heard the shocking news of Charlie Kirk’s shooting and also said goodbye to my dear friend Mike, the weight of grief, division, and loss felt overwhelming. And yet, in the middle of it, God whispered a reminder from 2 Chronicles: “If my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray, I will heal their land.” In today’s episode of You Are More, I’m processing what it means to live in a world full of chaos, division, and pain—and still choose to be an agent of light. I share how transformational leaders like Charlie and Mike impacted people simply by the way they showed up, elevated rooms, and changed atmospheres. How to Build Self-Trust and Crush the Rest of 2025

Can you believe it’s almost September? The ninth month of the year, the start of the fourth quarter—and the perfect time for a reset. Maybe you started 2025 with big goals, but now you’re looking around wondering, “Where did the year go? I’m not even close to where I wanted to be.” Friend, I’ve got good news: there’s still time. In this episode, I’m sharing why September is one of my favorite times of year to get back on track and why waiting until January is a trap. We talk about the mindset shift of realizing no one is coming to save you—and why that’s actually empowering. When you take full ownership of your life, you take your power back. I’ll also share why building self-trust is the number one predictor of your success, and how keeping the small promises you make to yourself builds unstoppable momentum. Think morning routines, daily disciplines, and honoring your own word—it’s not flashy, but it’s the stuff that moves mountains. If you’ve been stuck waiting for permission, doubting yourself, or holding off until “next year,” this is your reminder to take action today. Don’t wait for motivation—build discipline.
