Zane Hodges Library
Zane Hodges Library features messages on the Bible by Zane C. Hodges. Zane ministered at Dallas Theological Seminary for 27 years as Professor of New Testament. Zane also ministered at Victor Street Bible Chapel in Dallas, Texas for over 50 years and published a number of books focusing on the free gift of eternal life by faith alone in Jesus Christ alone and on the opportunities for eternal rewards for believers. Zane was involved with the founding of the Grace Evangelical Society, served on its board of directors, and wrote and spoke for GES. Zane was known for his faithfulness to the text of the Bible through study and prayer. His life reflected a biblical joyful living faith, as he was a friend and minister to many from all walks of life and all ages. Zane desired for others to know and believe in Jesus for the absolutely free gift of eternal life. As Jesus said, "Amen, amen, I tell you, whoever believes in Me has eternal life." (John 6:47) Zane also desired for believers to grow and endure in their faith, so that believers may have the privilege of co-reigning with the Lord Jesus Christ. In 2 Timothy 2:17, believers are told, "If we suffer, we shall also reign with him."
Curiously sticky

My pastor had some classes with Zane at Dallas Theological and would occasionally make reference to something Zane wrote or said. These snippets were concentrated ideas which would stick in my head for years. I finally did some reading of my own and found Zane’s writing to be very accessible for a non seminary guy, though it does take some time to work through the implications. An example is an argument he makes that in Hebrews the salvation he is talking about is future (those who will inherit salvation) and tied to works (those who eagerly await). It’s taken me years to get my head around the shape of the type of salvation the author presents but has made huge impacts in my daily exercise of faith. I find him sermons presented here to be also very valuable, especially where it comes to prompting further study or application of Gods word.
Wonderful Bible Teacher

I never had the privilege of hearing Zane Hodges in person, but I have learned so much from his books, articles and messages and continue to learn from him even though he went to be with the Lord in 2008. His thoughtful, Spirit-led teaching has given me a better understanding of Scripture and how to study and interpret Scripture. I’m thankful that many of his messages have been made available through this podcast. I highly recommend these podcasts.
Thank you!
