La extraordinaria escritora Clarice Lispector, que sobresalió en el Brasil hipermasculinizado de los años 60 y 70, es la elegida para el nuevo episodio de GRANDES INFELICES, un podcast de Blackie Books presentado y dirigido por el escritor Javier Peña (autor de “Agnes” e “Infelices”). En este capítulo desgranaremos la biografía de Lispector utilizando como hilo argumental su novela La hora de la estrella. Desde la guerra y los pogromos en su Ucrania natal hasta el machismo brutal del Brasil de la dictadura militar. En cualquier escenario Clarice Lispector fue siempre una escritora única. Una persona tan talentosa como peculiar, a quien, por sus rarezas, llegaron a llamar el “Monstruo Sagrado” de Brasil, algo que la alejó de la gente e incrementó su soledad y su infelicidad. El maestro y Margarita es una obra de culto que ha inspirado canciones de grupos como The Rolling Stones, Pearl Jam o Franz Ferdinand. Pero la novela estuvo prohibida durante varias décadas en la URSS y vio la luz mucho después de la muerte de su autor, Mijaíl Bulgákov. Si una imagen vale más que mil palabras, ¿cuánto valen mil imágenes? El artista Robert Rauschenberg quiso apostar por el poder de imágenes muy diferentes, con distintos formatos e incluso materiales, para expresar con ellas sus mensajes a través de collages. Collages que bebían de lo cotidiano, de 'el arte llevado a la vida', de la cultura popular. Unas obras que lograron crear un lenguaje propio que influenció a otros artistas coetáneos como Andy Warhol. De todo esto nos habla Marta Ruiz del Árbol, conservadora de pintura moderna y comisaria de la exposición ' Robert Rauschenberg: Express. En Movimiento'. Y también, charlamos con Pepa Blanes, jefa de cultura de la Cadena SER y directora del programa 'El Cine en la SER' sobre esa influencia de lo cotidiano en el cine en los años 1950 y 1960 del siglo pasado.

Emilia Pardo Bazán (A Coruña, 1851-Madrid, 1921). Es una de las grandes españolas del XIX y principios del XX. Es la autora de 'Los Pazos de Ulloa', 'La madre naturaleza', 'Insolación' o 'La tribuna' , entre otras, y de más de seiscientos cuentos. 'Un viaje de novios' se publicó en 1881.

Juan Rulfo, quien solo necesitó publicar una novela y un libro de cuentos para convertirse en uno de los escritores más importantes del siglo XX, es el autor con el que comienza la segunda temporada de GRANDES INFELICES, un podcast de Blackie Books presentado y dirigido por el escritor Javier Peña (autor de “Agnes” e “Infelices”). Pedro Páramo, la obra maestra de Rulfo, es una de las novelas de muertos más famosas de la historia. Que Rulfo escribiese una historia de muertos no puede ser casualidad si examinamos su biografía. Un padre asesinado de un disparo cuando él era muy niño y una madre que murió repentinamente poco después marcaron la vida de Juan. Se convirtió en un hombre triste y silencioso que se refugió en los libros como escudo contra el dolor.
