E9MBD-Enlightenment before Death

Sumitjee

Your Enlightenment Coach. When you’re tired of astrologers, tarot, healers, rituals, meditations and philosophies, I’ll be here, waiting for you at the end. Enlightenment Before Death — E9MBD is for people willing to investigate the questions spirituality often answers too quickly: What are you? What survives death? Is consciousness produced by the brain? What do past-life experiences, near-death experiences and out-of-body experiences actually tell us—and what do they not tell us? I’m Sumitjee. For more than 15 years, I’ve worked with hundreds of cases involving Past Life Regression (PLR), Life Between Lives (LBL), unusual experiences around death, and related consciousness work. Here, those experiences are not treated as beliefs you must accept. They become material for investigation. Episodes move between solo teachings, philosophy, consciousness research, case discussions, death practice, and conversations that may include Osho, Nietzsche, Buddhism, Vedanta, psychology and the stranger edges of human experience. But E9MBD is not really a podcast about past lives, astrology, NDEs or paranormal phenomena. Enlightenment is the centre. Everything else is an instrument. You have spent your life learning how to live. Perhaps it is time to ask whether you are prepared to die. e9mbd.online

    The Waking Process

The Waking Process and the "Boot-up" Analogy Consciousness vs. Story: Upon waking, consciousness returns first, followed by a brief interval before the "story" of the individual (name, roles, problems) loads 35.Computer Analogy: The mind functions like a computer booting up; the hardware and operating system (awareness) activate first, while personal files (identity, memories, obligations) load sequentially 16.The Gap: There is a tiny, nascent interval during waking where one can experience pure consciousness before associating with a specific identity 78.Identity as Data: Personal identity is compared to customized settings on a phone; while the hardware is the same for everyone, the "interface" (beliefs, culture, language) distinguishes individuals 29.The Memory Paradox: Infancy: Humans associate with their baby selves despite having no conscious memory of that period 1011.Dementia: In severe dementia, the autobiographical person "dies" as memories vanish, yet the conscious experience and physical organism continue 412.Conclusion on Survival: The speaker suggests that "personal survival" is often confused with the preservation of memory, whereas true continuity may reside in consciousness alone 1314.The Immortal Deal: An alien offers immortality on the condition that autobiographical memory is factory-reset every 30 years 1516. The speaker argues most people would reject this, revealing that they desire the immortality of their "story" rather than the immortality of their consciousness 1317.Data Exchange: A hypothetical scenario where two people swap memories while keeping their own bodies suggests that the "owner" of the memory is a manufactured impression, not a fixed entity 1819.Reincarnation: The discussion questions whether "I" can be said to reincarnate if the memories of the previous life are gone, suggesting that only the "operating system" (consciousness) persists 1620.Philosophy vs. Meditation: Philosophy seeks answers, while meditation involves "marinating" in the question without manufacturing an answer 21.Death Rehearsal: The E9MBD exercise involves a mental subtraction of all possessions, social roles, and eventually the autobiography to see what remains 2223.The Goal: To experience the discomfort of losing all identifying data to realize that the "I" who observes is separate from the "I" defined by the story 2425.Daily Application: Practitioners are encouraged to be vigilant during the fraction of a second upon waking to notice the awareness that exists before they "become somebody" 2627.Memory and Personal IdentityThought Experiments on Immortality and ReincarnationMeditative Practice: E9MBD and Death Rehearsal

You Should Rehearse Your Death Before It Happens

Concept Death rehearsal is not about mimicking dying, imagining a funeral, or proving afterlife theories — it is a structured inquiry that temporarily removes the assumption of unlimited future time to reveal what truly matters now. 12The core provocation: "You will die" — and the real tragedy is not death itself, but arriving at death as a stranger to your own unlived life. 34Most people intellectually accept mortality but negotiate with it: "I'll die someday — but first, finish everything else." 5Every meaningful act — forgiveness, spiritual practice, honest relationships, personal ambitions — gets deferred under the assumption of unlimited future time. 67Death makes no appointment with you; you have appointments with life, but death does not. 7Set a 9-minute timer, no phone, no manufactured environment — simply remove the word "later" from your mental framework. 78Ask yourself in sequence: 89 What am I postponing, and why do I assume I have unlimited time?If my titles, reputation, and achievements vanish — what remains important? If there is no audience to perform for, what actually matters? What stays unfinished — and why?Possessions, titles, victories, failures, and even relationships cannot be carried; what surfaces instead are missing moments — unspoken words, unlived experiences, unresolved connections. 101112Mortality does not grant wisdom automatically — an angry person may grow more agitated, a narcissist more self-centered as death approaches. 13Death only tests the values you have already built; it does not install new ones. 14Mindfulness practiced in curated, peaceful environments fails at the actual moment of death, which is rarely tranquil or planned. 1516Instead of asking "How do I live a good life?" — start with the end in mind and reverse-engineer from death. 17On your deathbed, you will not meet death — you will meet the life you kept postponing. 4Reading about death (NDEs, scriptures, philosophy) or having altered-state experiences does not mean you know death — people often jump from experience directly to philosophy, assuming their framework is correct. 1819The most intellectually honest position: "I don't know" — regardless of which tradition you follow. 20Standard mindfulness practice carries a hidden assumption: you will have unlimited future moments to keep practicing. This makes it a manufactured present, not a genuine confrontation with finitude. 1516The 9-minute exercise differs because it removes that assumption entirely, rather than selecting a comfortable moment to be present within. Most frameworks around death — insurance statistics, religion, philosophy, afterlife theories — function as consolation, offering comfortable answers rather than honest inquiry. 2122The real uncomfortable questions are not "What happens after death?" but "How am I living right now, knowing I will die?" 22Key distinction: Death rehearsal ≠ imagining a funeral or mimicking dying — it is removing the word "later" from your assumptions. 28Core claim: Mortality has no inherent wisdom; it only tests pre-existing values. 14Experience vs. interpretation gap: Having a mystical/NDE experience does not validate a philosophical conclusion — these are separate steps. 19Mindfulness critique: Practicing presence in curated environments ≠ genuine mortality awareness; the hidden assumption of unlimited future moments undermines it. 15The deathbed reversal: You meet your postponed life, not death, at the end. 4Common regret pattern (from elderly/caregiving research): "I lived for others but couldn't live my own life." 23Death as efficiency: Removing postponement = death becomes the ultimate deadline that clarifies priorities. 24Checklist trap: Even "unfinished" goals may be forgotten the way completed ones are — question whether they truly matter.
