    Becoming Findhorn and Incarnational Spirituality

At Home Podcast: Becoming Findhorn and Incarnational Spirituality with Special Guests, David and Julie Spangler Some of you know that I was born into a very out of the ordinary circumstance…born at a place best known for it’s magic…Findhorn, Scotland. From a young age, I knew it meant something. We live in a time now where children much younger than I grow up reading the stories of Harry Potter. They dream of these places as if they are simply imaginary. But where I was born people really did talk to plants, believed in beings who exist in other dimensions. Those that were there…still do. This summer I got to visit with David and Julie Spangler, in Issaquah, Washington. Both were at Findhorn when my parents met there, and from my earliest memories of meeting David, around four years old, I knew there was something very special about him. DAVID SPANGLER is a spiritual explorer, teacher, writer, husband, father, and grandfather. While studying at Arizona State University to become a molecular biologist, a childhood contact with subtle worlds blossomed into a collaborative relationship with inner beings. This contact resulted in his leaving the university in 1965 at the age of twenty. He then began a career as a teacher and explorer of subtle realms that he still pursues today, over fifty years later. He was Co-director of the Findhorn Foundation Community in northern Scotland from 1979-1973, a Lindisfarne Fellow, and in late 1974, he became the Founder of the Lorian Association. His work with both his non-physical colleagues and Lorian associates led to the development of “Incarnational Spirituality”. He is the author of over thirty books including “Journey Into Fire”, “Apprenticed To Spirit”, and “Working with Subtle Energies”, as well as four anthologies of short stories. He writes a free monthly email essay called, “David’s Desk” and information regarding “David’s Desk”, online courses and workshops can be found online at Lorian.org. David currently resides in Washington State with his wife, Julie Spangler. JULIE SPANGLER finished University, and at the age of twenty years. It was then that she felt a deep desire to delve into her personal spiritual path. She was led by the inspired stories that her older sister and brother-in-law told her about the Findhorn Community in northern Scotland and felt a deep inner resonance with what the community was about; and in particular, with the work that her now husband, David Spangler, was bringing through in his teachings and writings. Julie is the mother of four adult children, has taught parenting classes for twenty years, and has been a dedicated counselor and teacher working through the Lorian Association, which was founded by her husband, David. She currently resides in Washington State with her husband, David Spangler. This very special interview with David and Julie allowed me to ask some questions I’ve long wondered. I hope it inspires you and reminds you, as it did for me, that we have access to so much more than we may know when we develop our subtle awareness and commit to truly incarnating in ways we may have never before imagined. #realmagic #magic #magical #magicallife #Findhorn #dimensions #mystical #dreams #talkingtoplants #magicalcreatures #magicmind #scotland #consciousliving #awareness #aware #awakening #athomepodcast #terragoldwellness #podcast #podcastshow

  3. Life With The Doog Walker

    Life With The Doog Walker

DOOGIE GOLDSTEIN, known as ZAIRE in his youth grew up in Marin City, California during the 1980’s. During that time, he began playing organ for his church, his family and com-munity, discovering in that process, that he could create music in a recording studio for not a lot of money. He was poised and positioned, at the early age of eighteen-years-old, to be an integral part of the early nineties music scene ---he and his brother was involved in the early recordings of Tupac Shakur and many other artists in the rap music scene at that time. He started his own record label, Do It Again (D1A) Records, when he was still in high school—which involved writing and producing literally over 1,200 songs. Doogie empowered many young black musicians—especially in the Bay Area and Los Angeles area. He has an inspiring and truly redemptive story, but by the time he was thirty he was “stunned” to discover that he was still actually alive. He realized, the hard way, that the path of fame, fortune and excess can lead to a life of great destruction. After leaving the music industry and living in Paris France and New Zealand, Doogie has gone full circle, living in Marin City, and creating an enterprise known as “the DOOG WALKER”, a company that trains people through their dogs by providing dog walking services and many creative, fashion-forward accessories for canines. Through his dog walking service, as he puts it, “he is walking off his sins”. I have known Doogie since I was fifteen-years-old. To connect with this wise and generous man after all these years, was a big gift for me in the making of this Podcast. Enjoy! 4. The Herstory of Babington’s Tea House

    31/07/2023

The Herstory of Babington’s Tea House

Welcome to the AT HOME Podcast. This week's interview is: THE HERSTORY OF BABINGTON’S TEA ROOM, ROME, ITALY WITH OWNER, CHIARA BANDINI. 00:00:56 – 00:03:13 BABINGTON’S TEA HOUSE, located in Rome, Italy, was established in 1893 by two women entrepreneurs, Isabel Cargill and Anna Marie Babington. 00:03:13 – 00:08:16 Chiara Bandini, current owner and descendant of Isabel Cargill. Chiara is currently studying to be a tea sommelier, adding to her already extensive knowledge of teas. The history of Babington’s, and tea, in general, has involved learning where tea came from, the stories behind tea, how to determine the quality of tea through touch, smell, taste, visual texture/color, and how to brew. Babington’s location in the center of Rome, in the hub of the city. 00:08:16 – 00:10:26 How Babington’s began. In 1896, Isabel Cargill, great grandmother of Chiara, is left by her husband, then leaves England with her friend, Anna Marie, Babington and arrives in Rome. No tea rooms. The two women start their entrepreneurial venture with 100 pounds and open a small tea room. One year later, they renovate the stables of the original building occupied even now. This historical tea house has always been a place where there is a meeting of worlds. 0:10:26 – 00:14:15 Brief historical facts about tea. Tea was born in China 5,000 years ago. Tea, in lndia, began in early 1800’s with the flourishing East India Co. and England’s inability to access tea from China. English spies in China smuggle seeds out and bring to India to grow. Demand is so high, seeds are then brought to Ceylon, Sri Lanka. Tea plants/medicinals are also smuggled out of China by warriors and monks. 00:14:15 – 00:19:50 Historical facts cont. Current location of Babington’s survived WWI and WWII and never closed. Democratic nature of the tea house has has existed since opening-a place that has hosted political rivals simul-taneously. Tea House has always been a place that women could go to by themselves and was the first public place that offered a public rest-room for women. Closed ½ day when Americans and English liberated the city and ended the war. Historical facts cont. Unusual for women entrepreneurs to open a business in a Rome, a very provincial, male-oriented city, in which coffee was the preferred beverage. The opening of a women’s restroom also makes the newspaper headlines. 00:19:50 – 00:27:29 Evolution of the décor over the years from austere to English quirkiness. The attitude of love and caring the owners and servers exhibit for the tea house, its place in history and as place where history was and is often made. A historical mecca for families, artists, politicians and tourists. Historical connection with Hollywood-first to serve flat meatballs (burgers) in Rome due to movie industry connection. 00:28:32 – 00:29:30 Book written about the history of Babington’s Tea House, which can be downloaded free online. Go to http://www.Babington’s.com. 00:29:30 – 00:35:35 The democratic nature of the English Tea Ceremony- something to do alone, with a friend, with a book, or while writing a poem. The caffeine in tea provide a much longer window of concentration than that of coffee. How they mostly stayed open and survived Covid. 6. A University Mindfulness Club Story with Eva Pfefferkorn and Lior Kishinevsky

    02/06/2023

A University Mindfulness Club Story with Eva Pfefferkorn and Lior Kishinevsky

A University Mindfulness Club Story with Eva Pfefferkorn and Lior Kishinevsky Recently I had the scrumptious privilege of interviewing two students from the University of California, Santa Barbara (UCSB), Eva Pfefforkorn and Lior Kashinensky, who are the Co-Presidents of the Mindfulness Club at University of California Santa Barbara (UCSB).   Eva is a third-year student majoring in Global Studies, and a teacher of Hatha and Vinyasa Yoga at UCSB with the Mindfulness Club.  She has been deeply involved with yoga since her early teen years and grew up with a mother that was very involved in steering her in these directions.   Lior is a second-year Psychology and Brain Sciences student at UCSB.  Born in Israel and  raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, he is co-leading the UCSB Mindfulness Club with the idea of “bringing human beings together to love, heal and empower each other”.   Both Eva and Lior are dedicated to the use of meditation, and somatic based healing practices as a tool for finding balance and realizing their full potential.  These two young people embody a palpable, energetic sense of joyfulness that was so refreshing.  The light that they carry and convey is a reminder and a confirmation that our future is bright; and their intention to share with others on a deep and thoughtful level bodes well for the real openings in consciousness and awareness available to the global community we are all a part of.   The Mindfulness Club aims “to inspire self-inquiry, compassion, and gratitude among students by providing high-quality free events that are meditation, yoga and breathwork oriented”. The personal sharing that occurs within this framework is empowering and healing.   This interview has been made into a video and audio podcast. It’s a fun and inspiring ride to experience Eva and Lior together. Go to terrawellness.com and more information will be made available there for anyone desiring to contact either Eva Pfefforkorn or Lior Kashinensky about how to set up your own Mindfulness Club in your school or community.  They are eager to share the model and outline they have created to guide you confidently toward this endeavor.  I encourage you to check out the podcast and these two dedicated wise young ones.  It might just plant a seed for you to get your community together and share meditation as a practice that can be beneficial and meaningful to even more people of all ages, looking for avenues of inspiration and ways to create uplifting communities within university settings, and beyond. STUDENT BIOS: EVA PFEFFERKORN is a third-year University of California, Santa Barbara student with a major in Global Studies. She is from Charlottesville, VA and now teaches Hatha Yoga and Vinyasa Yoga at UCSB with the Mindfulness Club. She and Leone Scheviniski are incoming Co-Presidents for the USBC Mindfulness Club. The Club’s aim is to inspire self-inquiry, compassion, and gratitude among students by providing high-quality free events, including free events that are meditation, yoga and breathwork oriented. Eva is proud to be a part of this community with the hope that it will cause a powerful ripple effect across the UCSB campus and beyond. LEONE SHEVINISKI is a second-year Psychology and Brain Sciences student at UCSB. Born in Israel and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, he has long been on a journey of self-acceptance. He co-founded the Mindfulness Club at UCSB with the concept of bringing human beings together to love, heal and empower each other. His deep desire is for all university students to receive the gift of meditation as a tool to finding balance and realizing their full potential. Living the Way of Grace with Special Guest, Miranda Macpherson

Recently, I have had the honor of interviewing Miranda Macpherson, an author, educator, and spiritual teacher, who is absolutely unapologetic about using her connection with the divine feminine as an approach to understanding how to live an embodied, awakened life through a state of Grace.  Miranda has written several books on the subject of “Grace” which she defines as the direct experience of divine presence, and she is devoted to “helping people to bring deep spiritual truth into their lives so that they can become more successful, grounded human beings”.  She has also created workshops, retreats, and online meditations (some that are free and some not), all of which use a  process she refers to as “Ego Relaxation”, as an approach to relationship with our egos—our “structured-patterned-selves”, that is non-violent, non-judgemental, and healing.     Miranda has a depth of understanding about what it takes to guide us into our own personal experiences with Grace and introduces us to tools she calls, “The Pillars of Awakening” that pose as a given premise that “surrender is not optional for human beings”, and that “grace comes most alive when we are willing to admit that we don’t know”. “The Pillars of Awakening” are the spiritual, architectural components that build an inner temple where Grace flourishes and where “the dedication of the self to being nothing but a blessing” is held.  This is very deep, sacred soul work, and Miranda is an exemplary, gentle, no- nonsense teacher and guide.  This interview is a podcast that we have now made available to you.   For Podcast Time Stamps Visit my YouTube Channel Here: Connect with Miranda Here: FB - @mirandamacphersonteachings Insta - miranda.macphersonofficial YouTube - @mirandamacpherson Website: https://www.mirandamacpherson.com Books by Miranda Macpherson: TheWay of Grace (The Transforming Power of Ego Relaxation).                                                     Boundless Love                                                     Meditations on Boundless Love Inspirational Card Deck:                Cultivating Grace Intro + Outro Music: Song “Home Is Where the Heart Is” by Saku (Terra Green Gold and Kevin Crosslin) Sign up for my newsletter and connect with me more at: https://www.terrawellness.com Find My Products at: www.terrawellness.com/shop-terra-gold Let's be social!
