I hadn't done anything like that before. I told my friend, guitarist John Antony, 'Johnie, do this: I'll play a tune on the violin, and you play the chords.'     ഭരതന് ഒരു വയലിൻകാരനെ സിനിമയിലേക്ക് വേണമായിരുന്നു. ക്ലാസിക്കായ, ഓസ്കാറൊക്കെ കിട്ടിയ ‘ഫിഡ്‌‌ലർ ഓൺ ദ റൂഫ്’ എന്നൊരു സിനിമ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു. അതിൽ സിംബോളിക് ആയിട്ടുള്ള ഒരു വയലിനിസ്റ്റ് ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു. അയാൾ ആ സിനിമയിലെ എല്ലാ ഇമോഷനുകളിലും അവിടെയും ഇവിടെയും ഒക്കെ നിന്ന് വയലിൻ വായിക്കും. ഭരതന്റെ മനസ്സിൽ അതായിരുന്നു റെഫറൻസ്. ഇന്ന് ആ സിനിമ റിലീസ് ചെയ്തിരുന്നെങ്കിൽ വലിയ അവാർഡൊക്കെ കിട്ടിയേനെ.പറഞ്ഞു തുടങ്ങുകയാണ് ഔസേപ്പച്ചൻ. കേൾക്കൂ മനോരമ ഓൺലൈൻ പോഡ്കാസ്റ്റ്. Bharathan needed a violinist for his film. There was a classic, Oscar-winning film called ‘Fiddler on the Roof’. It featured a symbolic violinist. He would appear at various points, playing the violin to underscore every emotion in that film. That was the reference point in Bharathan's mind.
