Mum Brain? Or Neuro Spicy? Are we all across google image search? Cos, we need you to know about this major life upgrade DLs (for us and for you). Gem attempted to make waffles (WHO IS SHE?) and the pre-made mix and many calls to The Good Mum didn’t have the appropriate assumed knowledge. Now, get ready to count the nervous laughs, the shortness of breath and strap yourselves in DLs; it’s not a regular Tuesday. Today we are holding space for some news from our besties. You may relate, you may not, you may be surprised, you may nod along, you may have many questions and reactions but it’s time to sit down together and unpack some revelations. The Way Men Flounder When Women Are SickWell, Revz is finally ready to talk us through whatever the frick happened to her toe. And strap in DLs, cos it’s quite the journey for one very debilitating injury. But first; we have BEEF with Harmony Day and of course we do, we’re school mums. But not for the reasons you may think. But while we’re here, what is Gem’s signature Thai dish, huh Gem? Then Revz gives us a blow by blow but it really does beg the question - when we go down, who steps up? Cos this may just be the ultimate men-are-from-mars-women-are-from-venus moment of the year. If you’re a man, this may not be an ep for you, if you’re not, but you live with one… we see you. #notspon Gem: Devil in the Family: The Fall of Ruby Franke on Disney+ Revz: Shark Stain Striker (affiliate link) - If you want more of us in your week, you can subscribe to MORE TIME FOR THIS for more eps and giveaways all month long: Apple — https://apple.co/wedonthavetimeforthis Spotify — https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/moretimeforthis Sign Up To Bestie Bulletin Join our Facebook Group Watch Us On Youtube See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

The Catch-Up TrapRecorded when Revz was sick (again) but that doesn’t mean she doesn’t have the delivery hacks we all need. Use at your own will, depending on your ethics. Gem has other applications for it too. Then, do you wear undies, like, all the time? To the gym? To bed? Cos looks like there’s two types of people. And if you had to train for a new profession, what would you actually want to do? Revz has some fantasies and Gem has some practicalities (story checks). Then Gem is frustrated with the monotony of routine and wants to really shake things up. But can that be done with girlfriends? Revz thinks we might be on different motherhood tracks here, and wonders if we can please not shirk the humble coffee catch-up, but Gem is calling all Dance Captains to get the get-togethers going. #Notspon: Gem: Booie Make Up Revz: Natural Look Anti Lice Nit Spray - If you want more of us in your week, you can subscribe to MORE TIME FOR THIS for more eps and giveaways all month long: Apple — https://apple.co/wedonthavetimeforthis Spotify — https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/moretimeforthis - Sign Up To Bestie Bulletin Join our Facebook Group Watch Us On Youtube See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Why Divorce Hits Women HarderOk Besties, big quezzie to kick us off: are you a hair first, make-up second, outfit last girlie? Or the other way round? We’ve got strong opinions. Then, the Pinterest rabbit holes, we’re all about the aspirational vibes, and our niche dreams. And finally, a juicy one… the inequality of divorce. Who really gets the short end of the stick when the dust settles?

She Has The ReceiptsFirst up, we DON’T go on and on about the live show because, guess what, we have a whole other show for that in BACKSTAGE PASS (which is in your feed right, very now). So Gem gives us an IUD update that, well, no- actually, many people asked for! Then Gem has a story that sends Revz into a shame-spiral by osmosis when her overthinking takes a spectacular turn of events in the form of a text exchange. Terrible for life, amazing for all of us here in pod land. Then Revz still gets served dating app content on socials and she’s noticed a trend that is equal parts intriguing and alarming. And that’s a real capital T Tuesday folks! Thanks for being here, we adore the pants off you! Gem spots a cockroach crawling across the food table at a 40th and you’ll never guess what happened next. Then it’s a “young and dumb” story you’ll want to tut-tut, followed by the grand finale: Revz spills on her first-ever crush and it only gets juicier. Jim Rogers - A Life Bigger Than DementiaToday we are introducing you to Jim Rogers, who, in amongst a wild and vibrant life, has been diagnosed with younger-onset dementia. So generous, and such an amazing storyteller, Jim tells us the three acts of his life, so far. The grief of losing his first love, the surprise of his second, and the shock of a dementia diagnosis at 55, this conversation left Hugh, Ryan, and Josh with an invigorated sense for the preciousness of life, love, and family. In Jim’s words, dementia strips you of the most important things: your memory and recognition of your loved ones, as well as your ability to make choices for your own wellbeing. Dementia affects the lives of more than 421,000 individual Australians, and countless family members, loved ones and carers. There is no known cure for dementia, however there are treatments for many of the symptoms. This episode is heart-breaking and heart-warming in the same breath, and we know you’re about to fall in love with Jim, just like we did. Special thanks to Hamish Macdonald, and the Dementia Australia team, who introduced us to Jim. Elizabeth Day - The Me-est Version Of MeWe’re not sure if podcasts can date. But if they could we would want to date Elizabeth Day’s podcast - ‘How to fail?’. (A proposition Hugh awkwardly put to Elizabeth in the final moments of the show). This conversation covers a lot of ground. Elizabeth vulnerably discusses her journey through infertility, IVF and her eventual decision to stop fertility treatment; we explore the role exercise and strength training can have in reclaiming one's connection to their body; Ryan and Elizabeth bond over a love of reality TV; and there’s much much more. It’s fair to say there was a lot of chat and a lot of love in the room for this one. Elizabeth Day is a Journalist, podcaster and author. The podcast ‘How to fail’ is a brilliant (and wildly successful…ironically) pod that shares intimate conversations with guests about their experiences with failure. And we couldn't recommend it any more highly. You can find links to Elizabeth’s podcast, her books and everything else she is doing here https://bit.ly/3VCnSNE. Dr Emily - Truth vs HarmonyIn this Emisode, Dr Emily returns to talk about a topic that is VERRRRRY close to the bones of Ryan, Hugh and Josh. The ongoing battle of Truth vs Harmony. Does that ring any bells for you? Do you choose to live truthfully? Or harmoniously? And what does that even mean? What’s the difference? And how do living ‘truthfully’ or ‘harmoniously’ affect us and the people around us? Dr Emily goes into all of it. Adam Grant - The Potential of Your PotentialWorld leading organisational psychologists, Adam Grant is this week's guest in The Academy of Imperfection and honestly, we can’t believe how much ground the brilliant man managed to cover in this episode. I mean, sure, you might expect him to touch on the value of embracing our imperfections. Or perhaps he might explore imposter syndrome & the importance in believing in others' belief in yourself. Or how procrastination can actually be a creative force. Or maybe even some tips for those of us who have found ourselves languishing. All of this might seem pretty reasonable stuff to cover. However you might not expect a deep dive into the lessons learned from a junior olympic diving career or an actual magic trick! This ep covers it all…and much much more.
