    Public Enemy Number One

    Public Enemy Number One

In May 1978, France’s Public Enemy Number One, Jacques Mesrine, escapes from the maximum-security prison, La Santé, in Paris. This marks the first ever escape from La Santé but it most certainly is not Mesrine's first prison break. In fact, it seems no prison in the world can hold him. Enter celebrated detective Maurice Bouvier. Bouvier knows that catching the prolific robber, violent killer, kidnapper and master of disguise will not be an easy task. After all, he's been playing this cat and mouse game with Mesrine for years. But this time it's different. You see, when the two men last met, the gangster vowed he would come out shooting. All Detective Bouvier can hope is that he gets his own shot in first.

    The Taxi Bandits

    The Taxi Bandits

In February 1912, two bank messengers are robbed when their taxi is stopped by a group of masked men. They are beaten unconscious, and when they wake up, the $25,000 they were carrying is gone. The cops only have one clue to work with - one of the gang had a gold tooth. Sixty NYPD detectives are put on the case, but after two days, have nothing to show for their effort. With the public growing restless, Deputy Police Commissioner George S. Dougherty turns to an unlikely source: police matron Isabella Goodwin. He asks her to go undercover; to determine the identity of the man with the gold tooth. Can a woman whose job is to clean jail cells really get to the bottom of the biggest heist the city of New York has ever seen?

    The Clutter Family Murders

    The Clutter Family Murders

It’s one of the most famous cases in True Crime history, thanks to Truman Capote’s classic
book In Cold Blood. The story begins one night in November 1959 when something dark and
dangerous drifts into the small village of Holcomb, Kansas, killing four members of the same
family. Special Agent Alvin Dewey leads the team investigating this apparently senseless
crime. With barely $50 in cash taken from the house, detectives struggle to understand why
anyone would want to kill the Clutter.

Love it

I love history, and I love true crime, so I love this spin on the true crime genre as it’s perfectly fits what I love.

Lotty60 ,

The voice!

Sorry, but the affected Sam Spade voice drove me mad.🙄
