The Pointy End #3: What Dad Saw

The Pointy End #3: What Dad Saw

The Impregnator. The Inseminator. Dad. Whatever you call them, partners have a big part to play in your birth. Even if that's just staying quiet, holding your hand and acting as a human stress ball.

Bec’s husband (and football royalty) Chris Judd joins us in the studio to tell us what birth is like when you’re not the one doing the birthing. From how dads can support a heavily pregnant woman, to how they can manage their own nerves in the birthing suite and help without getting in the way. And the love! Oh yes, the love between a dad and his brand new baby is something truly special.

So grab your dad-to-be, plonk him down on the couch and tell him he's taking Juddy's birth class.

Mish W14 ,

Thank you!

Absolutely brilliant podcast to help first time mums prepare for what’s to come. Thank you Monique and Bec!

Couldn’t go past the first ep.

This is my first review I’ve ever written, about anything! That probably shows how much I dislike this podcast.
I couldn’t handle the way the hosts kept cutting off and talking over the guest speakers, so unprofessional and rude.
And the comments they made to the poor lady having infertility issues and struggled to keep a pregnancy were absolutely disgusting.
‘Did it stick?’ - you could hear how uncomfortable and upset that question made her!
And ‘come on give us the good news story!’ - how could you say that.
So yeah, do not recommend at all, I’m horrified.

Had so much potential

I love the quality of Mamamia podcasts but this one fell short. Limited useful information, especially around common pregnancy concerns like bleeding and cramping. The hosts were ditzy and poor interviewers. It felt as though each episode was barely researched and biased from the perspective of one (wealthy) mother. Couldn’t get past the first five episodes.
