EACH FESTIVAL IS ITS OWN LITTLE THUNDERSTORM. IT ARRIVES, RAIN FALLS, LIGHTNING STRIKES AND THEN IT IS GONE, LEFT ONLY IN THE MEMORIES OF THOSE WHO WERE CAUGHT IN FLURRY. THE YONDER PODCAST AIMS TO CAPTURE SOME OF THIS LIGHTNING IN A BOTTLE AND KEEP IT SAFE SO THAT THE MEMORIES AND THE VIBES CAN LIVE ON A BIT LONGER. Yonder is a new immersive multi-day camping arts and music festival held in the rolling hills of the Sunshine Coast Hinterland. There are few times and places in life where the truly unimaginable takes place; but in these moments, these precious few instances, where reality drifts and fantasy takes hold, is where Yonder exists. Yonder offers the darker, the stranger and the eclectic. An escape from the toils of everyday life. A refreshing discovery of all forms of art, music and culture. The Yonder podcast will be interviewing all of the musicians, artists, organisers, and festival goers and characters that make up the Yonder festival community. Hosted on Acast. C O L T S are an eclectic amalgamation of musicians with backgrounds spanning an array of genres. The group, formed in Brisbane, Australia features members of WAAX, YELLOWCATREDCAT, Pleasure Symbols, Finance, Average Art Club, Bcharre, FeelsClub and Rattus Rattus. C O L T S have a signature brand of alternative dream pop in which they blend a unique use of choral vocals with winding, interlocking guitars and confessional songwriting – often delving deep into issues of inclusivity and mental health within the industry. Drawing influence from bands such a DIIV, Beach Fossils, Slowdive and Deafcult, fans of grunge pop and shoegaze catharsis will not be left disappointed. With two singles of their 12 part ‘Calendar Collective’ series having been released earlier in the year – January and August – C O L T S have been exploring the depths of their sound; contrasting clever, interlocking and airy guitar lines with raw, powerful and intense vocals. Both singles received extensive media attention with additions to local playlists such as 4zzz’s Best New Local Music and international streaming playlists such as Apple Music’s Best of the Week and Alternative A list to name a few. Since their debut performance late last year, C O L T S have been captivating crowds with their energetic and immersive live sets that combine wet, guitar-heavy walls of sound with a driving rhythm section, delivered in a clean cut and easy to digest pop format. Having only a handful of shows under their belt as this project, C O L T S have still managed to sell out or pack every venue they have performed at thus far – sharing the bill with local Australian favourites such as Major Leagues, WHARVES and WAAX as well as international acts such as Mermaidens.
