You're A Good Kid

What we go through as kids will shape the course of our lives. Join James van Cuylenburg (Clinical Psychologist) and his brother, Nick van Cuylenburg (White Owl Sound), as they speak with a diverse range of people about how their childhoods have shaped them. Then, listen to guests read a letter to their child-selves. If you could say anything to your child-self, what would you say? Welcome to You're A Good Kid. To see child-photos shared by guests, and some video clips from each episode, follow on Instragram: (https://www.instagram.com/youreagoodkidpodcast).

A Letter For Lizi
7 Apr
Dear Lizi, With your “hopes in the sky”; yes… “you are perfect”. One of the most remarkable people I have met, you are truly a positive, unique and gifted person. My heart weeps in sadness for what you endured. And it weeps with joy that you survived. I am forever grateful for having known you, and for your cup cakes.
Love this!

Stop giving Lael Stone a platform
23 Feb
Was keen to listen until lael stone popped onto my feed! Honestly boys! She has no qualifications and a rising group of kids leaving her “school” because of the poor education standards it brings - might have something to do with the fact she openly cites she goggled her pedagogy and has an optional literacy policy. If we wanted a doula mother to give us her cliched googled wisdom we’d actually just go to all the gentle parenting grifters on TikTok or instagram. Surely you can do better?
