    did social media kill the party?

    I’m back from New York and have A LOT to say. After an incredible week at the US Open, dinners, work, and time with old friends, I couldn’t stop thinking about how much the culture has changed. I’m taking you back to my New York days - working in fashion and PR, doing the door at The Box, sneaking into Alexander Wang parties, dancing until we were dripping sweat, and experiencing nightlife before every moment became content. We’re talking influencers getting paid to attend parties, the pressure to constantly perform online, why everything feels so curated now, and whether social media has officially killed the vibe. But it also got me thinking about something bigger: when is enough actually enough? How much success, money, content, and growth do we really need - and what if a good life is actually about community, family, friendship, and having a fucking good time?     an advice column, but make it a podcast

    i've decided i'm starting an advice column on substack, because i want to create more community in a really positive way. i'm hoping to build a little corner of substack where the girls are actually supporting each other and lifting each other up when things are hard, instead of just scrolling past it. before i launch it there, i wanted to test it out here first with some real questions from you guys. so in this episode i'm answering things like what you actually do when a guy you've been talking to long distance, someone you have genuinely never met in person, tells you he wants to fly into your town. exciting, or a red flag with a nice haircut. i also get into the one i get asked constantly, which is whether davide and i actually sit down and have dinner together every single night, and what that really looks like versus what people assume from the outside. and then the one that actually made me sit with it for a minute, which is how do you stay open to the world, genuinely open, soft, still willing to hope, when it so often feels like a tragic place. i don't have a neat answer for that one, but i gave a real one. consider this the pilot episode of the column. if it goes well, you're all getting a lot more of my unsolicited opinions very soon.
