The prologue of the ‘gear’ series, a conversation with Jad, is such a perfect peek into the podcast as a whole - as Avery explains why fashion isn’t just trends and “what’s new,” but is “the externalization of your internal state… It is expressing what we're all going through and what you're going through in your time at the same time.” The ‘gear’ series lays this out so well, as military apparel finds its way into our everyday wear through surplus and modern tech wear.

I work in fashion as a tailor and love sharing fun facts I’ve learned from Avery during fittings with clients and take any opportunity to share her work with the world! Her casual and entertaining narration has kept me company during long days in the studio.
So unbelievably excited that her next series will be on Western Wear - I design Western shirts and love the amount of creativity that can happen within the container of a button up shirt!
