Deitch and Brunt make the show

Although Bob was an icon, I have to admit that some of his schtick was starting to get long in the tooth. I find some of the same with Blair. Things he clearly think are hilarious just aren’t (e.g. his faux contrarianism with Deitch). He also seems to dismiss certain sports out of hand, which isn’t a good attribute for a national sports talk host. Bob was guilty of this too (e.g. soccer).

However Deitch and Brunt are incredible additions. Deitch was always one of my favourite PTS guests. He’s always got interesting views, and it’s refreshing to have a non-Canadian perspective on issues. And Brunt is consistently excellent in everything he does. I could literally listen to him talk about any issue forever, and it would still be interesting. To be honest, if it weren’t for Deitch and Brunt, I would have stopped listening.

I have to admit that I increasingly fast forward through some interview segments as the most interesting portions of the show are usually when Deitch/Brunt share their thoughts.

Solid but...

Good show! Great takes on lots of topics, need more consistency with a daily baseball segment tho. Additionally the team gotta make sure the time stamps are listed to skip parts accurately for sports people don't care about.
