    S5E25 - Guidance without "power over": how to learn from someone without losing yourself

    We know there’s a danger of handing our agency over to amentor, teacher, authority figure, practitioner, guide. And if you’re the one in the room holding space, nobody taught you how to avoid creating that dynamic with your clients or students either. This is a cultural problem, not a personal failing. In this episode, Jayne unpacks the three confusions - Power versus Control, Validation versus Permission, and Guidance versus Dependency - so you can learn from someone (or mentor someone) without perpetuating the exact hierarchy you came to spiritual work to escape. Once we believe we already have access to what we need to know and trust our own connection to Spirit, the entire gatekeeping structure collapses.     S5 E23 - Are you meditating, Spirit-led reiki journeying or shamanic journeying? (And does It matter?)

    You're meditating. You're trying to develop your intuition.You're seeking meaningful Spiritual connection. You're trying hard to help yourself. And you still have questions - lots of them. How do I make sense of the things I see, hear, sense, feel or smell during meditation or energy work? Whycan't you tell what's yours and what belongs to your client?     S5E22 - Why practitioners struggle to trust themselves (and self doubt keeps winning)

    What if the reason you struggle to trust yourself as a practitioner has nothing to do with how intuitive you are - and everything to do with where you've been taught to look for answers? Jayne unpacks the three core reasons practitioners get stuck in the permission-seeking loop: outsourcing to the wrong sources (lineages, teachers, external systems), buying into the myth that more healing work = more self-trust, and learning in the wrong path to develop self-trust entirely. She reveals the Sacred Triangle - the relationship between theory, intuition, and spiritual wisdom that no single teacher can replicate for you - and shares the counterintuitive model that actually builds genuine practitioner authority: action first, self-trust fosters, understanding follows.     S5E21 - When spiritual ego masquerades as spirituality: why your instincts are right

    What if the most prevalent narrative about ego in spiritual spaces is actually backwards - and costing us our personal power? In this episode, Jayne dismantles the myth that ego is the enemy and exposes the real problem: spiritual ego using spiritual language to control, gatekeep, and create dependency. You'll encounter six specific patterns - from prescriptive “21-day cleanses” to gatekeeping through attunements to the “love and light” bypass that asks you to shrink - and learn to spot how control masquerades as guidance.     S5E20 - Borrowed wisdom has an expiry date: why energy work needs cultural roots

    We're sitting in Japanese ceremony with Celtic in our bones. We're practicing in someone else's cultural skin. We're completing certifications in a borrowed language, and somewhere deep - in a place that doesn't use words - something is screaming this isn't ours. In this episode, you'll discover why your Western animistic lineage was broken, how the spiritual industry borrowed from other traditions to fill that rupture, and most importantly - why the gatekeeping embedded in those borrowed systems keeps you fragmented from what wants to move through you. The system is the issue. Not you. And there comes a moment when borrowed wisdom has an expiry date. By the time you finish listening in, you'll disover: ● Your Western animistic lineage was broken when the elders stopped passing knowledge down, so you went searching and naturally borrowed from cultures where that relationship remained alive - Japanese Reiki, Chinese Qi, Indian Prana. While this wasn't necessarily a mistake, what followed was the adoption of gatekeeping structures (hierarchy, permission, credentials) that transformed a borrowed system into THE system, protecting borrowed wisdom rather than living ancestral knowledge. ● If you're intuitive, you feel the tension between what you were taught and where your spiritual authority wants to guide you far more acutely than others. You complete every certification, every modality, and still sense something deeper is available - this isn't failure; it's because you're confined by a borrowed system designed for a culture that isn't yours. ● The insidious cost of operating within borrowed frameworks is that you begin blaming yourself (“I am the problem”) when the real issue is systemic. You chase the next course, the next teacher, the next training, slowly erasing your own sensing and knowing while fragmenting your personal power across multiple misaligned modalities— - creating spiritual exhaustion and emotional overwhelm rather than clarity. ● Great training acts as a bridge back to yourself, not a ladder away from it - the difference is whether it supports direct spiritual relationship or creates dependency. When practitioners shift to Spirit-led, animistic practice rooted in trust rather than dogmatic execution, they stop asking “Am I allowed?” and start trusting what emerges through genuine connection with energy as a living intelligence.     S5E19 - Walking your talk: why depth workers don't wait to feel authentic enough first

    We're in the middle of a cultural reckoning - people are tired of shrinking themselves to fit someone else's idea of who they should be, whether that's in relationships, careers, families, or how they show up in the world. And practitioners are simply one lens on this larger reclamation. In this episode, Jayne traces a convergence across Human Design, astrology, psychology, and leadership research all pointing toward the same pattern: the end of performance culture and the rise of people who lead with presence over polish. She names why waiting to feel “authentic enough” before you claim your space is the exact permission culture that's keeping you small - and why depth, your particular lived truth, is the only thing that can't be replicated or performed.
