Love this podcast. Great format. Good mix of questions and best I have listened to! Give it a go 👍

I would recommend this show for anyone looking for a good mix of trivia, pitched at a challenging but not impossible level. I’d say my general knowledge is reasonably good and I typically get 50% - 80%. This feels about right. I don’t think 100% is beyond me, but after 167 episodes I haven’t managed it! I seem to follow up a really good performance with a really bad one and vice versa, so I think that also shows the episodes are varied and not predictable. Leon seems a good guy too – a quizmaster that you listen to every few days has the potential to be very annoying but I’m still listening (even though I can’t get Martin Roberts from Homes under the Hammer out of my head when he talks, I swear they sound the same!) A few specific things: a) I like football, Leon does not. But with this in mind, when he does put out a football question, it is a good level. It would be easy for a non-fan to make football questions too easy but I do usually have to think about them so credit for that! b) because Leon is a self-confessed nerd, a few topics (eg Star Trek) are generally too hard in my opinion c) Pronunciation, particularly of foreign words, is pretty terrible but it makes me smile at least. I started listening to Takeaway Trivia a good while after the pandemic, around episode 200, but also listening from the start. I’m up to episode 95 and wondering when the Philip Schofield references stop and if Leon is going to address it or just silently drop it 😊 Keep up the good work and thank you for (hopefully) improving my knowledge!
