Great
Really great podcast can’t wait to listen every week
Comedy or Drama?
The ‘Obsessed With…’ series of podcasts are a great idea as well-deserved supplements to some marvellous television dramas produced for the BBC.
In the case of ‘Happy Valley’ I can’t help feeling a little disappointed after every episode though. Whilst I am not at all familiar with the comedians Amy Gledhill and Isy Suttie, I wonder if they are the right choice for presenting a podcast about such a TV drama? Sally Wainwright’s writing and directing can be very suspenseful and absorbing, but listening to Amy & Isy, I do often feel they are treating the series as more of a comedy than a drama.
I’m sure they are very talented comedians, but simply wonder if there might have been a different type of presenter for this particular series?
Love it!
Great analysis filled the gap for me while I was waiting for the next episode.
Only criticism - there is barely any criticism of the show because the presenter seems to know Michaela? But that’s all - it’s really good otherwise !
