An apartment complex hosts a big Halloween party with themed rooms and costumed partygoers. By the end of the night one of the party’s hosts is murdered. And the partygoers are the main suspects in the eyes of the police: was it the guy in the devil mask, the guy dressed as Jesus, the bank robber, the construction worker? As a complex investigation winds its way through forensic evidence, witness testimony, DNA, and even a psychic, the police zero in on one suspect in particular -- but why? From Campside Media and Wondery, the makers of Chameleon and the Shrink Next Door, comes SUSPECT. Matthew Shaer and Eric Benson (Over My Dead Body) return to the scene of the crime to uncover what happened, and speak with everyone about a party that still haunts them a decade later. It’s a series about cutting-edge science and mislaid justice, race and policing, and the kinds of weighty choices that cops and prosecutors make every day. Choices that, once made, are difficult to reverse.

Brilliantly told…

I found the host so easy to listen to and the pace was perfect. Easy to understand and extremely unbiased story telling.
What a tragic loss of a life. I really felt sad for Rachel, I hope her heart is healing from the loss. I don’t believe Emanuel is the murderer,
I believe Emanuel was blindsided by this accusation and Cameron needs to take his place in prison. Cameron is totally guilty!
I can’t remember the name of the guy who walked home from the party and it took him hours (Neil?) Anyway, I don’t believe he had anything to do with it either and don’t blame him he wants to be left alone.

Authentically Suspenseful

So well written as a series, and the mystery is suspenseful yet authentic. The presenter has a great voice going at a nice pace, is unbiased at all times, yet presents the facts, leaving room for our own speculations, imaginations and suspense. For once interviews are really clear to hear too.
However as curious as we are about murderer mysteries, it’s truly a devastating loss of life of a fun, young, day “yes” to life woman, that still had so much before her. Gratefulness can be heard in those she touched her life with.
Can’t wait for more from this presenter and his team! Awesome job!
