Episode 16- With guest Emily Schaules- Why the 'Always On' work culture is killing us and learning how to beat burnout by giving ourselves a break

Thanks for listening to the Creating Resilience podcast.

For episode 16 we have another brilliant guest. This week I’m joined  from sunny California by Emily Schaules, a Transformational Coach who works primarily with women with invisible illness.

Emily is a former attorney, professional actor, Lead Coach at Masterpath Coaching, Founder/CEO of The Canary Club, and creator of the 7-Day Virtual Retreat, ‘Shift Yourself’. Emily went from suicidal and on 25 pills a day by the time she was 30, to thriving in her body, mind and spirit. She utilizes Hermetic and Universal laws, as well as practical health and wellness knowledge, to help those who are sick of the struggle and want to design a dream

life that honours their body and experience.

We chat about designing our working lives around our health to find better ways to beat burnout and smash stigma about talking about our health and protect our boundaries.

We also share ways to support people with ‘invisible’ illnesses with more compassion and creativity, and discuss the damaging health impacts of overwork and the ‘always on’ culture and how the 40-hour work week model is no longer a good fit for a healthy working life.
