We’ll spend the evening in an old house learning to make friends with whoever might share our space, wander through cleared fields after the harvest to help a friend stand tall once again, and roam the streets on All Hallows’ Eve beneath glowing porch lights. There will be costumes and fresh-cut hay, excited trick-or-treaters, a gust of wind that turns us around, and the first drops of rain beginning to fall.
