    A new custody law went into effect on July 1st in Mississippi. Learn more about Family Law with attorney Matt Easterling from Roberson Easterling.     I’m sure you’ve been hearing about America 250 but did you know that America 50 – Lafayette visits Mississippi was an event?! We’ll learn with historian Brother Rogers, formerly with Mississippi Department of Archives and History. At noon Wednesday, July 1, Brother Rogers presents “Lafayette Visits Mississippi as the 'Guest of the Nation'” as part of the History Is Lunch series. In connection with America250, Rogers examines the Marquis de Lafayette’s 1825 visit to Natchez during his farewell tour, highlighting his role as a Revolutionary War hero. This program takes in the Craig H. Neilsen Auditorium of the Two Mississippi Museums.     It's one of the most common phrases heard in television courtrooms.  But what exactly is hearsay? Why do judges sometimes exclude it? Why are there so many exceptions? We’ll learn with our guest is Professor Frank Rosenblatt from the Mississippi Christian University School of Law. Does all this lawyer talk make you want to attend law school? One of our past shows was with MC Law’s Dean John Anderson from Mississippi College. If you’d like to learn a bit about the two law schools in Mississippi, give that podcast a listen.
