Good info. Poor quality

Helpful with managing celiac disease. I do listen to most of the episodes other than book club ones. The only problem is the audio is so poor for a podcast which is probably low budget but can be hard to listen to as an avid podcast listener. It needs higher quality then would be 5 stars.

Just diagnosed

Great program! I need more of these informative episodes. My doctors haven’t provided me much insight into this condition and I’m so eager to figure out how to improve my health.

Inappropriate bashing of Medicine

I’m a physician and mother to a newly diagnosed celiac disease in my 10 year old. I was looking for some more resources and wisdom from other people’s experience with the disease. I could not even get through the first episode due to the venom directed toward the medical community in the first interview. Celiac is an elusive diagnosis for many people as they don’t have the “typical” symptoms. By the tone of the angry mother in the first interview, I suspect the specialist didn’t so much “abandon” the patient as much as they fired the mom. For my child, the diagnosis occurred over 6 weeks with collaboration with myself, my daughter’s primary care physician, and the pediatric gastroenterologist. The host of the podcast has no experience with celiac aside from himself having a chronic illness affected by diet. There is a need for a sound medical, nutritional, and lifestyle informational podcast for celiac but if the first episode is indicative of what future podcasts have to offer, this is not what you will find here...
