    Episode 218: Halloween: Resurrection (with Michael Moss)

    Easter is next week which makes it the perfect time to discuss the time one of the members of the Mount Rushmore of slashers was reborn – kind of. We’re of course talking about 2002’s Halloween: Resurrection. If you haven’t seen it in a while, it may be time to revisit it so you can adjust your rankings of the Halloween films accordingly because this has to be the worst of the bunch. Half-baked characters and awful cinematography doesn’t even begin to scratch the surface of this dreadful movie. That being said, our episode is way more enjoyable than whatever it is Busta Rhymes and Tyra Banks are producing (which isn’t saying much, but, you get it.) Tune in as we discuss how Loomis would appeal to Gens Z and Alpha, Tracy Morgan playing Michael Myers, and of course MrBeast hosting season 2 of Dangertainment. Despite a fantastic lead performance and incredible imagery, the movie spends 80 minutes spinning its wheels before suddenly revealing an explosive ending that almost makes up for the lack of story that came before it - but not quite.     In a short bonus episode to hold you over until our newest episode drops next Monday, we’re responding to a request we received to react to the trailers for the new A24 horror flick entitled Undertone, which debuts this Friday the 13th. It turned out to be a 9-Oscar nominations worthy endeavor. Some interesting spins on the beloved novel await those curious enough to see what Jacob Elordi can do as The Monster, so put on your finest ascot and pour a tall glass of white (milk) as we dissect this one. Plus, discussions on whether or not Christoph Waltz is a good actor, Victor’s goop diet, and just how many babies Nathan could beat in a fight to death.     Episode 213: 28 Years Later

    It had been 18 years since the last entry in the 28 (or 28 x Later…) franchise, but Danny Boyle and Alex Garland’s return could not have been more welcomed. While 28 Years Later was incredibly divisive (especially due to that ending), no one could argue that this entry into this infected (read: zombie) property wasn’t unique and refreshing. We love this one and hope you do too. So hold onto your head (and spine) as we tear into this one as well as discuss decrepit punk houses, the nicest thing Mallie’s ever said, Larry the Cable Guy’s only good joke, and, of course, those Alpha dongs. 28 Years Later stars Jodie Comer, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Jack O’Connell, Alfie Williams, Ralph Fiennes, and Erin Kellyman.     Episode 212: Next

    Remember 2007’s Next? No? Don’t worry – you’re not alone. This Nic Cage vehicle is one of his more forgotten outputs from the past 20 years and for good reason. A plot that truly doesn’t make any sense is only outweighed by apathetic performances and even lazier direction. Couple all of that with what has to be one of the most insulting endings to a movie ever and you’ve got a recipe for disaster. Luckily for us, our episode is far better. Tune in to hear us breakdown the movie (as best we can), plus conversations about Cage’s absurd hair, magic coin blood, and, of course, soiling yourself to get out of a situation.
