This guy must be always researching and reading. Loved the Gabriele D’Annunzio episodes - for sure the most comprehensive summary of his life in podcast format. However! There seems to be a missing anecdote for D’Annunzio’s final years. He fell from a second story balcony at his villa which is widely theorized that he was pushed by an unknown assailant as an attempt to murder him orchestrated by Mussolini who still feared he was popular enough to rival him. He survived with some serious head trauma and was basically held hostage in his villa by Mussolini until his death. You can visit his villa near Lake Garda and it has been extremely well preserved. Anyway great podcast!
