9-6: Three Rounds of Drano (Arkansas Recap & North Texas Preview ft. JD Davis from the North Texas Eagle)

Undefeated no more. Tulsa went into Fayetteville and came out with an ugly 34-6 loss to Arkansas in the rain, but at 3-1 the Golden Hurricane are already halfway to bowl eligibility with conference play starting Thursday night. We recap the Arkansas game, including a defense that played a lot better than 34 points suggests, the injury updates heading into a short week, and our players of the game. We also send our condolences to Tre Lamb and his family on the passing of his grandfather, Ray Lamb. Then we welcome in JD Davis from the North Texas Eagle to preview the Mean Green. JD walks us through Neal Brown's rebuild after the exodus to Oklahoma State, Jahiem White, Tayven Jackson, and a Jekyll-and-Hyde defense. That makes three for three on North Texas Eagle guys between their show and ours. Great conversation. Kickoff is Thursday at 8:00 PM central on ESPN at H.A. Chapman Stadium. We round things out by taking a look Around the American before running down the rest of the active TU sports.Support us on Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/thegoldenhurricast Chapters: 0:00 - Intro 3:20 - Arkansas Recap 5:32 - Offense 10:01 - Defense 13:42 - Passing Game 16:58 - Injuries 20:04 - Players of the Game 32:21 - North Texas Preview ft. 9-3: Beat Their A** Again (OSU Recap & Sam Houston Preview ft. Collin Neill from Sam Houston SportsTalk)

Tre Lamb is a legend and we are all witnesses. Tulsa just beat Oklahoma State in back-to-back seasons for the first time since 1951-1952, and this time we got to do it at home in Tulsa. It was a beatdown and easily could've been an even larger margin of victory than the 24-10 win it was. We have fun recapping the win over OSU and hand out our players of the game awards before moving on to Sam Houston. To preview the Sam Houston Bearkats, we welcome in Collin Neill from Sam Houston SportsTalk! Collin was great and we learned a lot about the Bearkats in this one. Kickoff is on Saturday at 6:00 PM central. To round things out, we take a look Around the American before running down the rest of the active TU sports - including a brief preview of the return of the Tulsa Men's Golf program! Excited to see how they do at the CSU Ram Masters in their debut.
